The story may turn out to be a bit emotional, gushy pushy. Mind keeping a tissue box with you? (Although, I don't think that you would need it)
GENRE
Mystery, thriller, romance, separation(Is that even a genre?)
FALTU ADVICE
Don't get too attached, I update in ages.

PROLOGUE
She sneaked out of the huge hall, oblivious to her departure, the crowed still cheered and howled for the girl. The only thing that she wanted to do was to reach home and read the letter. Read his letter.
"God this car! I don't have much time. Arrghh!" She kicked the wheels of her car which failed to start, yet another time.
She looked towards her watch and frowned. 2337 hours. She wasted five more minutes, waiting for the cab when it finally pulled by. Cursing the driver for ranting pointlessly, she got down of the cab, thrusting a five dollar bill in his hand, ran for her house, almost ramming into her old neighbor, when she heard her say, "Happ-"
"It's still time!" She shouted, not wanting to hear what she said and started opening the door in a haste. The keys fell and she wasted 2 more minutes, finding them.
She threw her sandals across the living room and lifted her dress to climb or rather run up the stairs to her room.
Just in time, she opened the cupboard and lifted the silver box, with gold linings and beautiful flowers en-carved on it, and kissed it lightly, not wanting to ruin the special box with her lipstick.
On opening it, she found the crate full of letters. She searched for the one which had 28th printed upon it.
She read aloud the words on the top of the letter, "Happy 26th, princess."
