Tung' the clock struck 7. Nandini was ready, looking alluring in the black sari. Her petite figure, perfect curves and long black shining hair complemented her sari very well. Manik knocked the door. Nandini said "Yes, come in". Manik came in and froze at his place. He was mesmerised by the way Nandini was dressed up. Nandini called him softy "Manik" which broke his trance. He composed himself and said "Urm... Are you ready?? So niche chale???" Nandini nodded. He gave her his hand and she willingly gave in. Just when they were about to leave, Manik received a call. "Nandu you go down I will just come, I have to take this call." Nandini went down. Just when she appeared before the guest everyone started staring at her. Nandini was feeling awkward by everyone's gaze. She decided to go back and come with Manik. Just when she was about to turn she felt a hand around her waist. She turned around to look at him and yes there he was her husband Manik. His touch was giving her a shiver down her spine. He gave her an assuring smile and started walking towards the guest.
All eyes were on them because it was the first time The Manik Malhotra was accompanied by a girl. Manik could sense everyone's questioned looks. Earlier the scenario was different Manik would never take Nandini to any of his parties but today it was totally opposite he had kept this party for her. All of his business associates were invited. He introduced Nandini to every single person personally. Lastly he came to Mr. Gupta and said engulfing Nandini in a side hug "Mr. Gupta meet her Nandini Manik Malhotra, my wife." Mr. Gupta took her hand kissed her knuckles lightly as genuine gesture but this irked Manik and as a result his hold on Nandini's waist became a little tight. Mr. Gupta asked "how much time has it been?" Manik said proudly "3 months." Mr. Gupta said "You have a beautiful wife Mr Malhotra but how come no one had seen her yet??" Again guilt engulfed Manik. Sensing his state of mind Nandini answered "wo actually I don't like to go to parties... Now can you please excuse us?" Saying this Nandini dragged Manik with her. After reaching a corner Nandini turned around and made Manik look at her and said "Manik you don't need to feel guilty anymore." Manik wondered how she could sense everything. He just hugged her. Meanwhile Cabir entered the party and saw these two hugging. After 2 minutes he went to them and faked a cough. Manik and Nandini broke the hug immediately. Nandini stood lowering her head. "Cabir!!! Tu kab aaya??" asked Manik. To which Cabir replied "Jab tumlog ka milaap setion chal raha tha." Manik glared at him angrily.
It was 10 minutes Nandini turned sideways but did not find Manik. She was so engrossed in talking to Cabir that she forgot about Manik. She started looking for him and suddenly spot light dawned upon her and a tune started playing. She turned around to find Manik standing under the other spot light with a guitar in his hand. He said "This is for my lovely wife, Nandini."

Poori ek aarzu chahiye
Jaise pehle kabhi kuch bhi chaha nahi

(He remembered the day when Nandini was in hospital and he slept alone. In the morning he had a sudden urge to see her but h e couldn't)

He sang this song throughout looking into her eyes. Nandini was busy in her thoughts thinking what if Manik also feels for me?"
Her thoughts were disturbed by Cabir's announcement. Cabir announced "Nandini is now gonna sing."
Nandini hesitated but soon she saw a pair of eyes giving her assurance. She started singing.

Everyone applauded her. Soon the party was over Nandini and Manik had changed their dresses and lying on the bed. Manik got up a little and saw Nandini, she instantly closed her eyes. Manik smiled and kissed her forehead and cheek. He slowly placed his hand on her face and pulled her towards him slightly and slept. He after so many days found his solace and peace. While Nandini smiled and after some time she too slept...
