Part 6
New Morning New HOPES.
Nandini woke up due to chirping of birds and saw Manik admiring her. She instantly looked away and sat up. Manik said" Good Morning Beautiful". Nandini smiled faintly.
Manik first gave her breakfast and then medicine. He then said " Doctor ne kaha hai you are fine now and tum humare ghar chal sakti ho!!!." Manik noticed the entire time she was not looking at him and whenhe said 'hamare' she made an annoyed face. Manik called her slowly" Nandini look at me please bas ek bar baat sunlo please!!"Nandini slowly looked at him. Today she found something different in Manik's eyes. Manik continued " Nandini I know you are not willing to come to our house but please ek baar mujhe chance dedo please. Let's just begin from the start. Let's be friends. I promise I will make it up for all the mistakes I have done. I want to promise you one more thing that I will always be there to protect you from now. I promise Hamesha". Nandini was touched by seeing Manik speaking so honestly. She told Manik " Manik just give me 10 minutes. " Manik obliged and went out.
Manik came outside and thought ' Nandini bas ek baar haan please. I promise I won't ever let you cry again Love."
Nandini was sitting with her eyes closed when Manik entered with food. Manik slowly kept the food on the table beside her bed not making noise and whispered " I think so rahi hai" and sat on the stool. Nandini softly said " Manik I am awake".
Manik immediately got up and looked down and started fidgeting with his fingers. Nandini smiled faintly and then said " Fine Manik I will come with you". Manik's happiness knew no bounds, he suddenly pecked Nandini's cheek and said " Thank you so much Nandini". Just then Doctor camand told them they could leave.
Just when they had come out of the hospital they saw Jenny. Manik was holding Nandini by her waist because she was a little weak. Nandini was having a tough time having Manik so close to her. Manik's expression changed when he saw Jenny coming. "Hi baby!! I am sorry for what I did but believe me I still love you" said Jenny faking tears. Manik said " Just shut up. I don't want to see you again!!! Get lost."
Jenny finally realised Manik was not convinced so she decided to leave but not before saying this " Manik you are leaving me for this commoner na. Aur tum (towards Nandini)tumhe to Manik nahi chahiye tha na and divorce bhi leni thi na to ab kya hua. I know tumne Manik sse divorce kyu li hai. Tumne socha Manik to kisi aur se pyaar karta hai and so you thought ki if I didn't get him I will get his money because divorce ke baad Manik ki kuch property to tumhe mil hi jayegi." Manik yelled " just go away warna mera haath uth jayega." Meanwhile tears started brimming In Nandini's eyes. She wiped them and started walking. Manim again held her from her waist and walked to the car. "I am sorry for all this drama" said Manik.
The whole way Nandini didn't a word and was constantly looking down. Manik halted the car at entrance of Malhotra Mansion. Nandini without waiting for him rushed in. Manik ran behind her and found her crying. He immediately hugged and then cupping her face asked " Nandini kya hua?? Please mujhe batao na." Nandini nodded her head in a no. Manik agai said with full concern in his voice " Nandini please hum friends haina. Agar tumne bataya nahi na to mujhe lage ga that you have not given me another chance. Nandini hugged him again. Aftet breaking the hug she said between her sobs " Manik kya tum mere bare mein vohi sochte ho jo Jenny ne kaha???"She looked up into his eyes waiting for his answer.
Manik's pov
She was looking at me with tears in her eyes waiting for my answer" I so wanted to just hug her and kiss her which would erase all her doubts but I have to take it slow.
End of his pov
Manik said in a very assuring voice " No Nandini. I don't think the same. I have not seen such a selfless and innocent girl like you" and he pecked her forehead. Nandini instantly hugged him and mumbled a thank you.
It had been one week since Nandini's return. She was fully recovered now. Manik showering her with loads of love and care. She was confused.
Nandini's pov
I don't why Manik is doing all this. Maybe he is guilty.

Nandini wad sitting and watching tv when Manik came and said Nandini now that you are fine now to aaj maine party rakhi hai if you don't mind kya tum aaogi?"
Nandini smiled and said " Are its okay you don't need to be so formal with me. I will surely come."
Manik smiled and said " okay so main arrangements dekhta hoon and tum 7 o clock ready ho jaana".
Nandini nodded and Manik left the roomManik was trying very honestly and now Nandini had forgiven him.
It so happened one day Manik had an important meeting at his office and he was not ready to leave Nandini alone. Finally Nandini had to call Cabir. Cabir came and some how managed to send Manik to office.
Manik was calling him every 10 minutes enquiring about Nandini's wellbeing. He was just about to enter the conference room and was on call with Cabir for nth time. Nandini and Cabir were in kitchen and Nandini was chopping some veggies for brunch when she had cut her finger slightly. She winced in pain. It so happened that heard her voice. Manik immediately left everything and rushed home.
Nandini had bandaged her finger and was in kitchen preparing brunch. Just when Manik came home terrified and asked Cabir " Nandini kahan hai? "
Cabir said " Kitchen mein.."
Manik instantly ran to kitchen. He just hugged her and kissed her forehead and started checking her hands, elbows and face. Finally after checking twice he asked " Tum theek ho na???... vo maine Cabir ko call kiya tha to I heard your scream to isliye I came." Nandini said " what about your Meeting?"
" Nothing is important than you."
That day Nandini forgave himNandini was searching her cupboard when a servant entered with a box in his hand. He said " Ma'am ye Manik sir ne bheja hai ye". Saying this he left. Nandini took the box and opened it. It was a black net saree with matching accessories and footwear and there was a pink note with it:
Dear Nandini
Please do wear it I really want to see you in this.
Manik
Nandini smiled and kept the note safely in her diary and went to get ready.
