When I was done reading this piece of your wonderful writing I could only imagine you like this.. strumming your way into my heart.

You with that pick of yours(words) strung at my heartstrings to make a heart wrenching yet a healing melody. Yes I know there is paradox there but isn't life a paradox in itself? And I loved how you played at it.The way the happy notes and the sad notes blended so well, with an apt ending as you strummed in the hope notes as well.

Guess I couldn't ask for a better melody today and Twinkie couldn't get a better gift of words for her special day.

One of the worst things that can happen to a person is...
... to be forgotten by someone they will never forget;
... to be treated as just "someone" today when they were "the only one" yesterday;
... to be trying to hold on to old memories because you cant make new ones
... to be holding on to the dream of Humesha when the reality of that very moment slips away stealthily.

Memories! Aha the word that stirs so many deep rooted feelings.. maybe be because we happen to weave them as we live, as we breathe.

I loved that you brought it up. And you know what struck me about this piece? It showed the stark reality what memories can do to you. They have this power to render you helpless in their spell.

I loved how you articulated Manik's pain, that these very memories brought him. For these memories are like rains, uncertain as regards to their arrival, but certain at leaving you drenched with either tears in your eyes or smile on your face... depending on the downpour. I loved the way you depicted that these very memories made him feel lonely because the pain came not from holding on to them but from the fact that they couldn't be shared.

Memories hurt because...
'His' Nandini couldn't remember them... and... 'Her' Manik couldn't forget them.

There was this prominent Hindustani classical music composer and vocalist by the name Tansen ..A Nava ratna (one among the nine jewels) in the court of the Mughal Emperor Akbar... He is said to have be capable o invoking rains with his soulful rendering of 'Raag Malhar.'

That what you did or me here...
You rendered a beautiful composition here that drenched me with the droplets of pain, joy and most importantly hope.
Now isn't that what rain, memories, music, life and writing is all about.

You struck the right chord Sis as this melody stays with me and I'm going to remember it... Humesha.

Furball 🤗... I just had to make another post to let you know how much this soulful this song makes me feel... Love the lyrics to the core...The essence of the song being a soulful trip down the memory lane... in the sledge of hope.

And just cause you happened to title this as Humari Adhuri Kahani with the apt pink fingers entwined ... You made another deep seated connection!!

And going by the Frozen way... I had to do something or my Anna... So that years down the line we reminisce the memories we make now.

So here's my very version of a small Olaf for my very own Anna..

I had penned this down long time back...and somehow I guess it syncs in with your story... I have kept the lines simple or anyone to understand but yet I'm leaving the word to word translation beneath every couplet.
Brace your soul for the same 😆...And You surely are in my prayers right at this very moment. 😆

~ Woh Pal ~

Woh pal jo humne sang guzaare,
Pal jo kabhi the sang humare,
Pal jo ab beeth gayen hain,
Ja baithen hain us kinaare...

(Those moments we spent together,
Moments that at some point of time were with us,
Moments that have now passsedby,
Are sitting on the other shore...)

Woh pal jinki yaadein,
Dil mein yunhi reh jaati hain,
Pal jo in aankhon ko,
Naye aansoo de jaati hain...

(Those moments the memories of which,
Stay back at heart,
Moments that to these eyes,
Give new tears as they go...)

Bharkar saanson mein mithaas,
Jeene ki aas dikhati hai,
Kabhi bankar woh saaye,
Har pal yuhin sataati hai...

(Filling breaths with sweetness,
They show the desire to live,
Then becoming shadow,
The trouble every moment...)

'Yaadon' ka naam dekar,
Palon ko sulaya hai,
Badi mushkil se humne,
Is dil ko manaya hai...

(Naming them as 'Memories',
The moments have been put to sleep,
With great difficulty have I,
Pacified this heart...)

Har pal mein aapki,
Yaadein basi hui hai,
Palkhon par aansoo hokar bhi,
Labon par hasi ruki hui hai...

(In every moment your,
Memories reside,
Though there are tears beneath the eyelids,
A smile stays intact on the lips...)

Yeh zindagi kab tak humein,
Yun judah rakh payeegi?
Raat se ghiren ab par,
Kal subah ho jayegi...

(Till when will this life,
Be able to keep us apart,
We may be surrounded ny night now,
Tomorrow a morn will rise...)

Pal jo humne sang gujare,
Laut aayengen pal woh saare,
Aap bhi honge hum bhi honge,
Saath chalenge us kinaare.

(Moments that we spent together,
Those moments will all return back,
You and I will be there,
And together we shall go to the other shore.)

PS: I suck at word to word translations 🤔 .. Guess giving the essence would have been more neat. Next time I'll stick to just the essence to save you the torture 😆

Awww...thank you so much. So glad you enjoyed it. And i will be honest, i kinda reminisced so many of the scenes myself as i picked scenes for Manik to recall..obviously i had to watch those scenes too 😆😳

And the fact that you cried is my biggest compliment..it meant that you felt the emotions i was looking to emote..so yayyy me ! 😆
