It was a filler episode but had few things that I hope they capitalize on. I see technical flaws especially how MaNan were shot today rather than Pani be off their game.
Two things- the camerawork , I am going to crib a bit here , you just should never shoot MaNan in two sepearate frames - they work well when they are TOGETHER IN ONE FRAME. It kinda breaks the moment for me.
Dhruv,Alya and MukShad are annoying. Harshad is worth rooting for at this point . Dhrulya needs some sort of resolution . Alya's moon eyes for Dhruv and her repressed feelings say another thing. They are too dysfunctional for each other at this point. Both need break and not date each other ever. Work best as friends.
Arya needs to sort himself out. This ambiguity is killing him and everything connected to him. Yes , he is morally sound- cares for others except Manik. But somehow the way he is coming across is just too jarring.
His bhai-behen game be lame.
Alya- Hope this be the end of her pity Party.
Dhruv is a d-bag regardless, in a way I am glad his insecurities are kicking again because Manik is being his parent and I have a feeling this time each and every member of fab5 is going to call out on Manik for his unconditional support and biased behaviour towards Dhruv.
MaNan
I liked the scene for many reasons, PaNi did well. it had softness and something very significant , if only they capatalize on it in the future. But technical issues like the frame thing needs to be sorted ASAP.
I adored how it started , Nandu feeding him , teasing about Chachi's khanna - that selfie was too meta . But loved the little play he does with her stole , liked how PaNi worked that bit .
I actually like how MaNan talked about Alya, Nandu is secure enough to ask him about his ex and I appreciate how she asked him if he discussed or has an idea about what Alya wants.
Manik is Pro-Dhruv and I see him falling hard this time- fab5 who till this point rarely called him out for Dhruv obsession might take complete umbrage now.
I think here comes the part which messed people- Manik said you forgive me , even when we had issues with time they got sorted. Now he connected 2-3 conflicts that they had from sacrifice - Vday , so I see why Nandu would mention the love thing but I get the ambiguity too , they needed more clarity there. Nandu whatever stage of their conflicts knew that her feelings for Manik were always making her listen,talk, fight and keep the desire of their togetherness burning. She now knows that those feelings were of love. She could forgive him because she loved him, it's another thing she realized it later. This is why she asked , if he knows what Alya feels.
Rather it was Manik's declaration that was telling and explained why they went there, his fear for her, he dropped Soha's name and that event after ages and ofcourse again, he can do anything for her. THEY BETTER GIVE A DECENT RESOLUTION TO THIS.
I think the love thing was more in the flow and part of another conversation. i don't really think they needed to overtly express about it or react, because they have celebrated it way too much- Nandu's line about him having her heart since forever (her bday) to their couch scene about fireflies and true love.
The subtext was to highlight Nandu's eventual fear for Manik and the Soha reference. I hope they wrap it up soon.
I loved how Manik is not too distressed about his friends and not regretting or rushing out on Nandu - now though she doesn't mind but still it feels nice. But boy needs to give his friends emotional and physical space. Even Mukti was sort of annoyed with him earlier.
Arya
He has no plan .He doesn't want to kill Manik . Whatever, he needs to be sorted ASAP. I don't worry about this randomness but the way he hangs around maNan irritates me.
Nandu-Manik bit
Tickling was nice but I need to see how they plays it out tomorrow .Arya hanging over their heads didn't help.
These conflicts are just to join all those subplots. But Arya needs to be sorted. His behen pyaar for Nandu be irritating now.
Parth was weak , PaNi was decent , technical errors be ruining some scenes.
Sideys are so annoying that disconnects sets if MaNan are not allowed that one proper moment.
There is a lot of potential here, especially Manik's daddy issues for Dhruv. Soha incident but they need to pace it well.
I don't have a problem with Nandu's hiding/protecting business because Arya is acting exactly like her and is clueless himself.
Camera needs to stay on PaNi to let them work their thing, even sick both kids get MaNan but keep them in one frame .
