Chapter-7 The unsuccessful hostage.

When I opened the door, I saw Tiksha being tied by a person and 7-8 more were standing across the sofa. I ran inside and tried to free her when one of their main held me tightly and tied both my hands with a rope. I was startled and taken a back for a moment. What did just happen?

"We were waiting for you, Ms Murthy. Why didn't you reach your dorm? We were so tensed for you." One of the man, I couldn't see the face of, said.

"Who are you and what do you want?" I shouted while trying to free myself. I roamed my eyes across the hall and found my sister and Rahul, already, tied too. But where is Manik?

"Who are you trying to find Nandini?" The same man asked me with his arms across his chest and his face covered up with a hat.

"What. Do. You. Want?" I said making myself clearer.

"You." He spoke.

"What?" Why does he want me? I just asked again if I heard wrong. I don't have any rivalry with anyone.

"Yes, actually, our boss wants you and we were planning to kidnap you since you were in India. You didn't reach your dorm so we tried to gather information about you. We found that two of your friends are also living with you. And one or the other is always there with you. Cabir, is at the marriage right now and Manik, he is engaged in some party so we thought of capturing you but didn't have any knowledge of this." He pointed at Tiksha.

"Cut the crap and come to the point!" I screamed. I was getting out of control seeing my family tied like that! There was a thing I didn't tell you before and that was about my anger. When I get angry nobody can even touch me or he'd down in pieces.

"Our boss is in love with you." He spoke guiltily. Why was he guilty for his boss' attraction?

"Wait what?" I screamed but a little low than before.

"Yes." He blankly said.

"It's not my fault that he loves me." My voice was getting lower.

"But he will make you love him. He was very confident about it, ma'am." He said lowering his head. I know he is no more than a mere servant of his boss. He was looking scared by my anger I suppose.

"First of all, untie my family members and second, you can't force someone to love your boss and moreover, I am already in love with someone else." I blurted. Shit, what did I just do? Thank God Manik isn't here.

"Ma'am we didn't want to do this but..." He couldn't complete his sentence and was cut off by the police barging inside our apartment.

"Mr. whoever, now you and your so called boss are in our custody." The police official announced as he tied his arms and the other police men freed us.

"Who called you here?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Maine bulaya hai inhe." Someone shouted from behind. I knew his voice. He was Manik. He saved us, yayee!

"Now before you ask how I got to know of this, then let me tell you that I saw all of them entering inside our house. So without wasting time I informed the police who have already arrested Harshad, your lover. And yeah, you're welcome." And as he finished his speech idk what got into me I hugged him and as a surprise he hugged me back and patted my back, "its okay Nandini. You are safe and with us."

I broke the hug because I felt embarrassed and then hugged Tiksha asking her if she was fine. Di and Rahul were staring us like mad.

"Oh sorry, let me introduce you all. Uh, he is Manik and Manik he is Rahul and she's Sujata. They are going to live here for 2 days only if you both don't mind." I said while eyeing Tiksha and Manik.

"Oh nice to meet you and why would we?" Manik spoke and adjusted himself on the sofa to remove his shoes and then he held one of my hands and asked Di, "If you'll excuse us for a moment, please." "Sure." She smiled and let go off my other hand which was entwined with hers.

"I'm sorry." He said as soon as he pinned me to his room's wall.

"Come again?" I made a confused expression as I didn't hear what he said.

"Yes you heard it right. I am sorry. I am sorry for ignoring you since the past 3 days. I seriously am." He said with so much guilt in his eyes.

"On one fine day we meet after so many years and then after sometime you just come and tell me that you love me and then you walk out. After that you say that you will win me no matter what in just 30 days and then you start ignoring me for no reason and then the 3^rd day you come and say that you are sorry?!?!" I burst out in anger.

"Listen to me please. I can explain." He held me tight from the shoulders pleading.

"Oh really? Then please do." I said with a sarcastic smile plastered on my face.

"I love you and I love you a lot. Seriously, a lot! That day when I saw you with Aryamann, I know I was... I was jealous. I came home and rested for a while then I approached your room, I was just going through your books where I found a love novel. I was just reading its epilogue when I read a quote, If you can't get his attention ignore him. He'll be yours." He was explaining so sweetly I just wanted to kiss him there. No Nandini what are you thinking? You need to be angry with him! I buried my desires and listened to him as he continued again, "I was already angry with that Aryamann so isliye... I am sorry Nandu please. I won't do these stupid things again and you know what? Today, I just prepared for a cute date for us but you refused to come..." He lowered his head again as he was expecting some kind of thrashing from me but was taken aback when I hugged him. Yes I did. And that too, too tightly!

"It's okay Manik. Now let's go outside. Everyone must be waiting." I said politely. What just got into me? Why am I not shouting at him? Nandini shout please!

"Wow. You are seriously different from anyone. You didn't even slap me for this." He held his cheeks and said confused.

"Look at your face. How can I slap such a cute guy? Now c'mon let's go." I said pulling his cheeks.

He caught hold of my waist and pulled me towards him and said, "Cute guy haan?" Oh God, his voice was so husky at that moment!

"Manik leave me I need to go and talk t..." He didn't let me complete and kissed me! OH MY GOD! I didn't want to break it neither wanted to reciprocate and feel awkward later. I just let him kiss me. I know it was for just a minute but he did! It was my first kiss and with my Manik! He pulled back unwillingly and hugged me tightly. I also hugged him back hiding my already flushed face.

He just a whispered in a husky voice, "Sorry, I just wanted to taste those since a very long time, Nandu." I just wanted to sleep in his arms but he pulled apart.

"Let's go." He said blushing and held my hand and directed me towards the living room.

I could feel my cheeks getting warm and red, and also his smiling face. We both sat on the sofa only to get some teasing from Tiksha. "Why are you both blushing? Kch hua kya?" She asked and smiled. She has been guessing about us lately because she knew that he was the Manik I wanted to propose when I was 15.

"Now tell me, Di. What are you doing here?" I asked Sujata with a blank look. I didn't really want to see any one of them, again.

"Just wanted to see Cabir's face!" She exclaimed and giggled.

"Oh cool. That wasn't funny btw. He'll come tomorrow, you can meet him." I said and went to the kitchen to get my dinner. It was already 15 minutes past 12 and I was too much hungry.

"Tiksha I won't allow you to miss your college tomorrow. So, sleep on time. And even Cabir wouldn't like being absent and creating mess in our house." I warned her who was chattering nonstop with Sujata and went inside my room with my plate. Before that, I checked on Manik and found him talking to Rahul. They were really mixing well. Future Rishtedaars I thought and flushed at my own thinking.

It was my habit on checking whoever was in the house before getting to my room to sleep. I got this trait from my mother. She used to check on us before retiring into her room at night. Even my father used to come at night and see us whether we are sleeping or not.

I felt my cheeks wet and found that I've been crying. I just wiped them off and had my dinner. I retired to bed at 3 am after completing 3 chapters of my favorite novel. But sleep couldn't get me. I couldn't sleep. I just rolled over my bed but still I couldn't. There were many things in my mind. I knew what will happen tomorrow when Cabir would return and Sujata would get to know the truth. My family would return to me. They would again start finding another reason to hurt me. They would shift me to the dorms away from Manik and Cabir.

I was also worried for Tiksha. Her behavior was so strange. Sometimes, she would just get back to my best friend and sometime a female devdas. And Manik, he was also such a confusing personality. He ignored me for three whole days and then kissed me. I am going to explode! Cabir come fast and end this all! I know what I have to do now. God, please make me strong and give me strength to do this.

It was a bright sunny day and Nandini didn't want to get up. She slept so late and this bed was suddenly feeling too comfortable for her. But, her alarm started ringing at exact 7 disturbing our beauty's sleep.

Let me sleep you effing alarm! She threw a pillow at the alarm and it stopped ringing. Thank God! She murmured and again went into deep sleep.

Tiksha's p.o.v:

I woke up with that swift knock on my door. I thought it to be Nandini so I didn't reply because I knew that she'd just come inside and caress my hair and wish me good morning and go without disturbing. I just loved that antic of her. She is so care-y. She always takes cares of everyone around her except herself. I was just lost in my thoughts when I heard another knock. Now, I was sure that it wasn't Nandini. First, she would never knock and just barge into my room and second, if she would na then not more than a single time.

"Who's there?" I shouted.

"Cabir" A whisper came from the other side of the door. "Open the door please." He again whispered.

"It's open you can come in." I said with an unknown smile. Yes, I had started liking him since the first day I saw him. What did he not have? Looks? Humor? Money? Lol. I was laughing at my own idiotic thoughts.

He stepped in slowly making sure not to make any noise. "Hey, good morning!" He wished me with a smile.

"Good morning." I replied getting up from my bed.

"Uh, Nandini has locked her front door so I am thinking of getting inside by the balcony. And it is not possible without the help of your room's balcony so here I am. Actually, I wanted to give her a surprise that's why." He said and went inside my balcony.

"Why were you explaining me then? It's your house. You can go wherever you want without asking." I said casually leaning at the pillars.

"Not in a girl's room, Tiksha. I don't know from when you started thinking yourself as a guy." He mocked and embarrassed me. "Thank you for the embarrassment. I'm making coffee for us. Best of luck for your mission!" I said and walked out of the room to prepare coffee. I wanted to make the breakfast today so I did make it.

So hehe, this chapter is really too boring without any punch or funny lines I know but I just wanted to end that kidnapping part as soon as possible. There are more new twists to come. Next one would be pretty cool okay? Stay tuned and do comment bada bada warna maine update nai krni ye story ;_;
