Chapter 17 A

"Nandini?" Someone called her and recognizing the voice Nandini froze on her place.She looked at the person. Same face,same voice,same arrogance,same attitude..!!

"Mayank?" Nandini whispered and got up from her seat. Mayank walked towards her.

"Nandini? You in Mumbai?" Mayank said surprisingly.

"None of yours business..!!" Nandini said angrily hatred was clear in her voice.

"Mind your attitude..!! Miss Murthy..!!" Mayank barked suddenly he noticed the sindoor and mangalsutar. "You are married? To whom?" Saying that Mayank's eyes widened in shock.

"Again none of yours business..! And if you think I will answer to your stupid questions then you are highly mistaken..!!" Nandini said hatredly after all she was Mrs.Mosnter Manik.

"Listen you..!! Don't you dare to act smart with me..!! How could you marry someone else haan?" Saying that Mayank held her hand tightly.

"Why can't I haan? You left me na? Then why does it bother to you..! And leave my hand..!!" Nandini said trying to free her hand from his grip.

"I won't..!! What will you do haan?" Mayank again barked as if eating her alive.

"Main cheekh cheekh kar pory mall k logon ko akthta kar loon ge..!! I am not that coward anymore who is afraid of you..!! And FYI my husband is around he will be there soon..!! So you may better leave..!! You don't even know the power of a woman..!!" Nandini shouted. Maynk left her hand.

"I am going right now but I'll be back soon..!! I can't let you go so easily..!! Nandini Murthy..!!" Mayank said pointing his finger and left tapping his foot.

Nandini who was acting brave in front of him immediately held the corner of the table to stand properly. "Aiyaapa..!! Why is he back? If he wanted to come back then why he left? What if Manik comes to know about him..? Last night when Manik confessed his love it was clearly visible how much he was insecure because of Mayank..!! I can't tell him all this..!!" Nandini was thinking all this sweat popped out on her forehead,when someone held her shoulders.

"Don't you dare touch me again..!" Nandini thought it was Mayank again so she turned to scold him again but to her good luck it was her ''savior'' MANIK..!!

"Nandini? It's me Manik..!! Are you ok jaan?" Manik said worriedly cupping her cheeks. "Why are you sweating?"Manik became worried seeing her horrified state.

"Ma..!! Manik where were you? Mjy akele dar lag raha tha..!!" Nandini tried to change the topic but in real she was cursing herself for lying to Manik.

"Ohhh God..!! Sorry mjy dare ho gai aik important call aa gya tha..!! You eat your pizza..! Come sit..!!" Saying that Manik made her sit on the chair. But Nandini she was again lost in her thoughts.

"Nandini eat na?" Manik again tried to earn her attention.

"Manik I am not hungry..!! Let's go home please..!!" Nandini said again lost in her thoughts.

"Not hungry? What is this Nandini few minutes before you were starving and now you are not hungry? Has something happened when I was not here?" Manik said doubtly. He noticed Nandini's face the smile on her face which he used to see was suddenly vanished. Nandini got up from her seat and held his hand.

"Manik..!! Please let's go..!!" She pleaded.

"Ok as you wish..!!" Manik sighed. He knew something was bothering her but she don't want to tell him now. During the whole way back to home Nandini was quiet and Manik was getting more and more worried. They reached home and Nandini opened the door herself without waiting for Manik to open door for her and walked inside. Manik's impatience was reaching to it's peak. Nayonika wasn't at home again but Suresh was back. Manik after parking the car came inside. Nandini's all teddy bear were delivered and were placed in the lounge but Nandini wasn't there. So she must be in bedroom. Suresh asked him for dinner but he refused. And walked to the bedroom.

Nandini came to the room and lay down on the bed. She knew that Manik must be worried with her behavior. But what if he again asked her about the matter what will she tell him? Mayank why are you back..!! What you want now..? Aiyaapa what should I do? Why me? Why do I always land up in trouble..!! Please give me strength..!! Suddenly she heard the sound of door opened she shut her eyes pretended to be asleep.

Manik entered the bedroom and saw Nandini lying on the bed with eyes closed. He knew that she was awake. He took off his shoes and lay down beside her.

"You are a bad actor Nandini..!!" Manik said sadly tucking her hair behind her ear. Nandini slowly opened her and look in his.

"Manik..!! I am sorry..!! I was rude..!!" Nandini too said sadly. Manik took her in his arms. Nandini hide herself in his arms and Manik slowly patted her head as if releasing her tension.

"I know my honey something is bothering you..!!" Manik slowly whispered in her ear. "You wanna tell me?" Manik said lovingly.

"Manik..!!" Nandini whispered his name ever so lightly,tears welled up in her eyes she slowly lifted her head to look in his eyes. He was looking at her with all love. She slowly leaned closer to him and took his lips in hers. Manik sweetly replied her tightening his hold around her. Nandini's behavior was very weird for Manik but he didn't want her to force for anything. Nandini was kissing him so passionately like never before. After sometime they broke gasping for air. Manik gently kissed her tears away and pinned her under him. He kissed her neck and shoulders. Nandini moaned in pleasure.

"Manik please..!!" Nandini requested him to end his sweet torture. Manik again embraced her in his arms,she placed her head on his chest and closed her eyes.

It was midnight but both of them were still awake.Tears were constantly flowing down on Nandini's cheeks she was thinking what if Manik came to know about Mayank? What if he will try to create misunderstandings between them? What if Manik will get angry on her and will leave her? And on the other hand Manik was patiently kissing all her tears away. Because he wanted Nandini to cry at her full. He wanted her to let it all out although he even don't know the reason. The thing was killing him that before he went to get pizza for her she was too much happy and he was so relaxed to see her like this but when he came back she was so much horrified,he was sure that something has happened in his absence.

"Nandini...!! Bus na..!! Please..!! Your tears hurt me..!! Tell me what happened? Your behavior is killing me Nandu..!!" Manik said worriedly when he saw that Nandini's tears will not gonna stop soon.

"Ma..!! Manik..!!" Nandini said sobbingly and snuggled herself more in him.

"Haan Manik ki jaan kuch tou bolo..!! If you will not tell me then how would I make you relax..!! Tell me na?" Manik said lovingly.

Nandini got up and walked towards the window. Manik sat on the bed. She was looking out. But Manik knew that she was just avoiding his questions.

Chapter17 B

"What should I do? Oo yes..!! Singing..!!" Manik thought and smiled. He had to distract her so that she at least for sometime forget her sadness. He took his guitar ,started playing the chords and sung.

Baatein ye kabhi na tu bhoolna
Koi tere khatir hai jee raha

(Manik sang and Nandini turned,looked towards him then she walked towards the terrace.)

Jaaye tu kahin, bhi ye sochna
Koi tere khatir hai jee raha

(Manik sang,following her and stood in the terrace door.)

Tu jahaan jaaye mehfooz ho
Tu jahaan jaaye mehfooz ho
Dil mera maange bas ye duaa

(Nandini again turned to see Manik and Manik's face expressions were clearly telling her that he really mean those words)

Baatein ye kabhi na tu bhoolna
Koi tere khatir hai jee raha
Jaaye tu kahin, bhi ye sochna

(Manik again sung and moved towards her. Nandini felt embarrassed on her behavior so she lowered her head.)

Humdard hai, humdum bhi hai
Tu saath hai toh zindagi

(Manik sang and slowly lifted Nandini's chin with his finger to made her look in his eyes.)

Tu jo kabhi door rahe
Ye humse ho jaaye ajnabi

(Manik nodded looking deep in her eyes)

Tujhse mohabbat karte hain jo

Kaise kare hum usko bayaan
(Manik sang and poked her shoulder naughtily and winked,a smile crept on her face)

(Manik again sing and held her waist tightly as if he wanted her to share her pain to him Nandini again thought about Mayank and tears welled up in her eyes)

Jaagi bhi hai royi bhi hai
Aankhein ye raaton mein mere

(Manik slowly wiped her tears and sang)

Kyun har ghadi milke tujhe
Lagti rahe bas teri kami

(Manik sang and Nandini freed herself from his grip,turned to leave)

Hum toh na samjhe tum hi kaho

Kyun tumko paake tumse juda
(Manik held her and pull her towards him she banged in his chest they both share an eyelock)

(Manik ended the song still lost in her eyes)

"Please Nandini..!!" Manik pleaded.Nandini hugged him. Manik kept stroking her hair. After a lot of struggle she still wasn't willing to tell him God..!! Ok I'll wait. Manik thought and lifted her in his arms and walked to the bed. He lay down on the bed with her. Nandini wasn't crying now but her hold on Manik's collars become tight with each passing moment which Manik noticed clearly.

"Nandu? I am not going anywhere..!! Why are you so restless..?" Manik tried to calm her down.

"Manik..?" After a lot of time Nandini whispered his name.

"Haan?" Manik said lovingly.

"You know na that I love you?" Nandini said. Manik was like Is-She-Mad?

"Of course pagal..!! I know..!!"Manik said cupping her cheeks. But again tears..!!

"Acha..!! Acha..!! I'll not ask anything but please just don't cry..!! Whenever you want to tell me I am there for you..!!"Manik slowly wiped her tears and made her head rest on his heart. "Now close your eyes and sleep..!!" Manik ordered her and Nandini closed her eyes she herself was too much guilty she wanted to tell him everything but she was afraid..!! Afraid of losing her Manik..!! Should I tell him?

"Manik..!!" Nandini again tried to talk to him.

"Just shhh..!! Sleep..!" Manik shushed her and kept his palm on her eyes. She kept quiet and then sleep overtook her.

Next morning Nandini woke up and found the bed empty. She got up and saw a pink note.

"Nandini..!!

I am going to office..!! When I came back I want you to smile..!! And I want you to tell me everything..!!

Love your Manik..!

Nandini sighed she slept too much it was 10 am. He didn't woke her up and left without disturbing her sleep.She got up and after getting freshen up she went downstairs.Suresh was arranging breakfast for her.

"Suresh Kaka.!! Where is Mama..?" Nandini inquired.

"M'am has gone to some charity program..!! And Manik baba has gone office..!!" Suresh replied odiently pouring tea for her.

"Manik nay breakfast kiya?" Nandini asked again.

"Yes Mam But bht thora sa..!! Mam I am going to buy grocery..!! Shall I go?" Suresh asked.To which Nandini nodded. And Suresh left. Nandini was again thinking about Mayank. What if he comes back?.Suddenly she heard the doorbell rang she thought it must be suresh so she opened the door but the person in front of her shocked her.

"You? What the hell are you doing here Mayank..!!" Nandini shouted.

"Wohoo easy girl..!! I am here to meet my ex-finace..!!" Mayank said stubbornly.

"Shut up and get lost..!!" She screamed on top of her voice.

"Waisy Nandini..!!" Mayank again started ignoring her. "I must say Manik Malhotra wow..!! He is cool handsome hunk..!! But not better than me..!! You don't suit with him..!! We both are made for each other..!!"

"Just keep your mouth shut Mayank..!! I hate you..!! I hate you more than anything in this world..!!" Nandini screamed.

"But I love you Nandini..!!" Mayank said trying to hold her hand.

"Don't you dare to much me..!! And love? Do you even know the meaning of love? No..!! You don't..!! If you love me then why you left??"

"I am sorry that I left..!! I am really very sorry but please try to understand meri majbori the..!!" Mayank said shedding fake tears.

"Ohhh go to hell with you and your so cold majboriyaan..!! Just get the hell out of here..!!" Nandini said as hatred was clear in her voice.

"OK..!! If you will not come with me..!! Then I swear to God..!! I will kill that bloody Man..!!Taraakkhh" Before Mayank complete his words Nandini interrupted him.

"Khabardaar..!! Don't you dare to say any word against my Manik..!!" Nandini slapped him. "Now get lost..!!"She screamed.

"You have slapped me na? Now "YOUR MANIK" has to pay for it..!!" Mayank warned her.

"Do whatever you want to..!! I am not scared..!!" She again shouted and slammed the door on his face.

Nandini fall on the couch tears rolled down her cheeks. If Mayank can say it that he can harm Manik then he can..!! No..!! Manik..!! She got up and dialed Manik's number but it was unreachable. Then rushed to get the taxi. She hired a taxi and reached to Manik's office. She even didn't bother to pay the taxi driver. She reached to the reception.

"Where is Manik?" Nandini asked hurriedly.

"Excuse me? Who are you?" Receptionist frowned.

"You dumb I am Nandini..!! Nandini Manik Malhotra..!! His wife..!!" She shouted.

"Ohh I am sorry Madam..!! Sir is in a meeting and..!!" She fumbled. But before she could complete Nandini run to find Manik. She was running in the corridors madly,crying just to get a glimpse of him. Then she saw him sitting in the conference room,and was busy in the meeting. She without thinking further opened the door.

"Manik..!!" She shouted. All the persons in the room looked towards her and Manik got up from his chair. Manik noticed her she was crying,tears were rolling down of her cheeks she was breathing heavily so it was clear she was running. But why? Then he saw her running towards him and she almost fall in his arms and sobbed.

"Manik..!! Manik..!!" She was continuously hiccuping his name. And Manik rubbed her back try to calm her down.

"Nandu..!! It's ok? Shhh I am here..!! Bus..!!" Manik consoled her. All the persons in the room were just admiring the couple and all of them left silently without disturbing MaNan. Manik tried to broke the hug but Nandini she was too much afraid of losing him that she wasn't willing to break the hug.

Ok surprise update..!! This chapter tells how bad Mayank is..!! Why he run on the day of marriage will disclose soon...!! In next chapter Nandini finally will tell Manik about Mayank..!!
