Chapter 9 A

Saxena Mansion was fully decorated. Lots of guests, Mr&Mrs.Saxena were attending the guests. Fab 4 were standing near the Bar counter and were continuously chattering,laughing on Cabir's jokes. Alya was impatiently waiting for Manik's arrival. Except for Cabir no one knew that Manik was coming with Nandini.

"Where the hell is he..??" Alya said in a frustrated tone.

"He will be there soon Alya..!!" Mukti pat her shoulder to which Alya gave her a faint smile. Cabir kept quite as he knew if he would tell them the mood will be spoiled.

...

Manik stopped the car in front of Saxena Mansion and was about to get down when he saw Nandini rolling her Saree pallu in her fingers,nervousness was visible on her face.

"Nandini..?? Why are you so tense??" Manik inquired politely.

"Umm Nothing Mr.Malhotra it's just I have never been in these kind of parties before..!! Bhaiya always insisted me to come but I had never attended these kind of parties...m just a little nervous..!!" Nandini lowered her head once again in embarrassment and Manik he was again surprised on her innocence. He gently freed her pallu from her fingers and took her soft and tiny hands in his strong and big ones.

"Nandini It's ok..!! I am here na? I am with you. Just trust me..!! Do you trust me?" Manik himself had doubt on his question he felt like his heart stopped beating for a second. What if she said no that she don't trust me..!! Manik was looking at her with lots of hope and fear in his eyes. Nandini look towards him directly in his eyes.

"Yes Mr.Malhotra I do trust you..!!" Saying that Nandini smiled and listening to this Manik felt himself on seventh sky.

"So then no worries..!!" Manik exclaimed and got down of the car and opened the door for Nandini.

They both entered the hall and suddenly there was a silence. Everyone looked at the beautiful couple who had just entered the hall. When Nandini felt everyone staring at her she in anxiety clutched Maniks hand Manik looked at her and gave her an smile to which Nandini felt a little relax. Mr&Mrs Saxena rushed towards them. Mukti, Alya and Dhruv's jaws dropped open in shock and Cabir become very happy after seeing Manik relax with Nandini.

"So Mr and Mrs Malhotra are finally here..!!" Saying that Mr Saxena shook hand with Manik and pat Nandini's head. And Mrs.Saxena hugged Nandini.

"Manik I must say your wife is so beautiful..!! You both make a perfect couple..!!" Mrs.Saxena exclaimed,Nandini shyly lowered her head and Manik's heart filled with proud that someone was praising his wife, he spotted Fab4 near the Bar counter.

"Come Nandini..!! I will introduced you with my friends...!!" Saying that he walked towards Fab4 and Nandini quietly followed him. Reaching there Manik started the introduction session.

"Nandini..!! This is Mukti..!!" Manik pointed towards Mukti and Mukti smiled at her and Nandini smiled back.

"He is Dhruv..!!" And Dhruv also smiled.

"This is Cabir..!!" Manik slapped on his shoulder to which cabir faked an "OUCH" and got up from his seat and walked towards Nandini and smiled.

"Nandini I was very excited to meet you..!!" Saying that Cabir extended his hand for a handshake,to which Nandini hesitated and look towards Manik as if asking permission whether to shake hand or not and Manik's assuring smile gave her,her answer and she shook hand with Cabir."It's really very nice to meet you..!!" Cabir added.

"It's nice to meet you too Cabir..!!" Nandini said happily. And at the last Manik turned towards Alya who was fuming with anger shooting daggers with her eyes,and she left. Manik shook his head in dismay. All the fab4 asked him to go and explain everything. He looked towards Nandini in confusion and she also nodded and asked him to go after her.

"Alya..!! Listen to me..!" Manik tried to stop Alya.

"No Manik there is nothing left to listen..!! Will you answer me what the hell is that commoner doing in my Party..!!" Alya said in a tone full of hatred. Listening the word "commoner" Manik fumed with anger.

"Enough Alya..!! Don't you dare to say anything against Nandini..!! I know that you came to my house and you had insulted Nandini..!! I hadn't said any word to you that doesn't mean I don't care..!! You have to understand it that I am married now..!! Nandini is my responsibility and I don't want to share any relation with you anymore except friendship and I don't wanna talk about it not now not even in future...!!" Saying that he angrily left.

"How dare you Manik..?? How dare you to broke up with me..?? It's all because of that Nandini..!! I will not spare you..!!" Alya fumed with anger.

Back in the party.

Nandini was sitting near the bar counter she was taking sips of mango juice. She saw fab 3 talking to each other her eyes were continuously searching Manik but he was nowhere in the site although she had asked him to go behind Alya but in reality now she was getting restless. Mr and Mrs Saxena were asking the couples to tap the dance floor she was watching them smilingly.Suddenly someone pat on her shoulder unfamiliar of the touch she immediately jerked the hand and turned to see who was he. The guy was tall and handsome. He sit on the stool beside Nandini.

"Hi beautiful..!!" He tried to touch her hand and she jerked her hand. And tried to act brave.

"Stay away from me..!! My husband is here..!! If he would see this na he will beat you" She said in a scared tone and get up to leave.

"Like I care..!!" Saying that he held her hand and tried to stop her.

"Leave my hand...!!" Nandini tried to free her hand from his strong grip her eyes were continuously searching for her savior. Suddenly she heard his voice and her eyes sparkled.

"Harshad..!!" Manik yelled in anger. To their luck no one was there and they were standing in a dark corner. "Leave her hand..!!" Manik freed Nandini's hand from his grip and Nandini immediately run towards Manik and hide behind him. And clutched his blazer's back tightly she was hell scared.

"Woho..!! Old friend..!! You are married..!! Beauty he is your husband..?? You know your scared wife was giving me threats to stay away from her as because her husband will beat me...!! Hahaha..!!" Harshad laugh shamelessly. Hearing that Nandini was giving him threats of her husband Manik's heart filled with proud.

"Stay away from Nandini...!! As I don't want to make any mess here..!!" Manik gave him threat to which he wickedly smiled and wave a goodbye to them left.

Manik turned and look at Nandini's face. She was shivering with fright. Manik became panicked seeing her like this.

"Nandini..?? Hey shhh..!! It's ok I am here..!! Shhh..!! Relax..!!" Manik tried to assure her and wiped the tears and sweat from her face. To which Nandini relaxed a bit. Manik noticed Harshad still staring at Nandini.That was it for Manik to keep his innocent wife away from Harshad's lusty gaze Manik almost dragged Nandini to the dance floor a little dark corner. Nandini was shocked at Manik's behavior.

Chapter 9 B

"Mr. Malhotra...!! What are you doing..?? I don't know how to dance..!!" Nandini said a little horrified.

"Shhh..!!" Manik placed his finger on her rosy lips. "Just give yourself to me for few minutes...!!" Manik whispered.

Music started playing.

Tumhe koi aur dekhe toh jalta hai dil

Badi mushkilon se phir sambhalta hai dil

(Manik held her waist tightly and placed her hands on his chest and swayed with the music, He was looking in Nandini's eyes all lost in her beauty)

Kya kya jatan karte hain tumhe kya pataa
Yeh dil beqaraar kitna yeh hum nahi jaante

(Manik's eyes expression were complementing the lyrics and he twirled her and again pulled her towards him she banged in her chest)

Magar jee nahi sakte tumhare bina. .. .
Hume tumse pyaar kitna yeh hum nahi jaante
Magar jee nahi sakte tumhaare bina. .. .
Hume tumse pyaar. .. .

(Manik cupped her face as if telling her that he really mean it. Nandini was melting on Manik's gestures. They both were lost in each other)

Suna gham judaai ka uthaate hai log
Jaane zindagi kaise bitaate hai log

(Manik twirled her again and hugged her from behind as if he had doubts that he will lose her)

Din bhi yahaan to lage baras ke samaan
Hume intezaar kitna yeh hum nahi jaante. .. .
Magar jee nahi sakte tumhaare bina
Hume tumse pyaar. ..

(Song ended and MaNan were so lost in each other that they even didn't realize that when the song ended)

They were looking at each other as if their life depends on it. Huge applaud broke their trance. Fab4 were smiling except Alya. She was determined to take revenge from Nandini. MaNan came towards fab4.

"Wow Buddy you both were awesome..!!" Cabir exclaimed. Nandini blushed and Manik smiled. They kept talking to each other suddenly Manik's mobile rang he excused himself and moved out of the hall. Now Alya became happy as she was waiting Manik to leave Nandini alone. Fab3 were busy in their talk Alya moved towards Nandini.

"What do you think? With you cute tactics Manik will love you?" Alya asked with hatred. To which Nandini was shocked.

"Excuse me??" All this Nandini managed to say.

"Listen Nandini..!! Leave Manik..!! Or else..!!" Alya again said. That was it for Nandini she became angry on her rudeness.

"Miss Saxene..!! Mr.Malhotra is my husband...!! He is not gonna leave me..!! Keep this thing in your head..!!" Nandini said bravely and turned to leave but Alya had some other plans. Alya placed her sharp heels in the pallu of Nandini's saree which was touching the floor, as Nandini walked away she didn't noticed it and without giving her time to react her delicate chiffon Saree was badly torn exposing her. Nandini's eyes popped out in horror.

"Awww poor Nandini..!! Now your looking perfect..!!" Alya mocked her and left her alone. Slowly everyone noticed her she was too much numb even to run of her place and hide somewhere, tears trickled down her cheeks.

After attending the call Manik entered the hall and noticed and unusual silent. He saw people staring somewhere,he followed their gaze. When he saw the sight in front of him eyes he felt like burning. Nandini was standing there helpless,eyes closed and people were just staring at her. Manik run towards her meanwhile fab3 also came there.

"Nandini..!! How all this happened?" Manik asked panicking,and cupped her cheeks. Listening to his voice Nandini opened her eyes and saw him standing so close to her, that was it for Nandini she crashed her head in Manik's chest and started sobbing aloud. Manik was shocked as well as happy from Nandini's gesture. Manik immediately took off his blazer covered Nandini with it and hugged her back. Nandini was too much afraid and horrified that she clutched Manik's collar tightly and tried to hide herself more in his arms,dig her head in his chest too much embarrassed to even look at anyone. She felt solace in his arms. Manik gathered her in his arms and kept rubbing her back but she was continuously crying.

"Nandini stop crying..!! I am here na? You are safe...Shhh..!!" Manik tried to comfort her. All the guests were looking at the sweet couple but Alya was fuming with anger and she left.

After lots of consoling Manik felt that Nandini stopped crying. They were still standing in the middle of the hall.

"MANIK..!!"She whispered For the second time she called him Manik and lifted her head a little to look in his eyes. And Manik felt himself flying in the air.

"Haan..!!" Manik asked possessively.

"I want to go home please..!!" She said and again tears formed in her eyes. Manik gently nodded and effortlessly picked up Nandini in his arms to which Nandini didn't protested,and hide her face in crook of his neck. Manik smiled at her innocence.Gesturing Cabir to follow him Manik walked out of the hall along with Nandini ignoring all the eyes which were staring at them.
