Chapter 3 - payback time...really???
"Yes I am sorry .I am jealous"
Shock would be understatement for manik, as out of all her excuse list, he didn't expected this as answer nandini smirked at his expression
"I feel sorry for these judgemental bimboos and their boring lives...and I m little jealous as I wish I to had that much time to worry about things that are none of my business"
Nandini mentally patted herself and said " I'll just grab a drink , excuse me" leaving a dumbstruck manik behind. Manik took his time to come back to his senses
She never falls to amaze me.This is just the beginning manik. Their is a long journey ahead with this girl.' He said to himself while taking a deep breath to prepare himself as the roller coaster ride has just started and followed nandini
"Monster... Are your so called happening parties are this lifeless..."
" hmm ...yeah...not really...why ??? Aren't u enjoying yourself"
"Of course...I am absolutely enjoying this dead silence "said nandini sarcastically
Wrong move! His brain screamed out
"Monster ...what u actually do ...I mean enjoy in this party"
"That's a secret "
" com'on monster manik ...stop acting like a kid...speak up..."
"Hmmm..." Said manik rubbing his hand gently and roaming his eyes around the hall
"Okay...here u go...can u see that lady with a wine glass in her hand who is standing in that group ... She is having an insane urge to throw the glass of wine on the lady exactly opposite to her...but she is not able to do that in public but she will definatly do something to take revenge...just wait for ...I guess 5 minutes"
Nandini keenly kept looking at the lady.and she felt her eyes coming out of socket when she saw the lady deliberately spilling wine on others dress and while apologizing she rubbed the spot with dirty tissue making sure that the mark never goes off
Nandini looked at manik's proud smirking face
"Who are you"nandini said with shock written on her face
"Sorry????" Manik said as his eyebrows squinted in confusion
"Are u Sherlock homes..."said nandini will pulling arnavs cheek to check if it is real "nah..then u are somewhat like ChuCha"
"Chu...WHAT" said manik, not understanding what was going in her head
"Yeah the guy in movie fukrey...he used to dream and his friend would make lottery no. from it "
Manik looked horrified . it scared the hell out of him even imagining himself as the character.
"You crazy cow...how can u compare me with that jumbo...girl die for my one glance ... And here u are comparing me with someone I can't imagine even "manik sighed disgustingly which made nandini giggled...
"By the way...how do u do it...I mean how u judge it what's going in someone's mind"
"Ahh...its just about observation of their gestures, body language...you can tell what's going in their mind..."
"now I can tell 2 women behind u are shamelessly checking me out..."manik whispered in her right ear in most husky voice.
His heavy breaths sweeping her skin in gentle caresses made her close her eyes. He was closer than she had anticipated and his intense eyes were fixed on her face, making an electric current run down her spine.
She unconsciously licked her dry lips and his eyes darted towards them. He smirked looking at the effect he has on her. He gently caught hold on her left wrist
"Definitely more than 100 beats per minute"
"Huh?"nandini letting out in confusion
"Your heartbeat. its going wild sweet heart "he deliberately brushed his lips with her earlobe
"You can actually hear it!!!!" Nandini Cried out in disbelief .as soon as her own words sank in she blushed to roots of her hair. Manik was amused by her reaction
Not knowing how to react she hurriedly turned around to leave before she hear her name being announced ...
She jerked her attention towards stage ... She found Soha throwing wicked smile on her...and said
"Ladies and gentlemen...I hope u r enjoying yourself ...and to add to make night more Ecstatic ...I would request Ms Nandini murthy to sing for us...welcome her with a big round of applause.."
Nandini frozed and blood rushed to her head which could blast any time at that bitch...god nerve of this s**t...
Manik face was expressionless but his eyes full of anger(how dare she...she will be paying back heavily for messing with my girl...which she will regret he while life...I promise she is not gonna smile after tonight)
"Manik can I stab her right now"nandini said with half pleading and half ordering voice While throwing daggers towards Soha
"Hell no...go I know u can sing"
" and when did u heard me singing"
" ahh...yah...once I heard u half singing song "sadda haq" while u were in washroom"
Nandini's lips turned into perfect 'O' in shock. Manik chewed hid inner cheek to stop himself from laughing
"Monster manik , there is no half singing...u are either lata mangangeshkar or Meryl streep "
" com'on my lata streep u can do it"
"Will u please keep ur polio effected sense of humor aside and concentrate on the problem in hand"nandini literally blasted at manik
"Okhy ...I m sorry...I was just encouraging u "said manik with a puppy face
"Yeah right"Nandini rolled her eyes
"Ohky listen nandini...I know u can sing very well ... I heard it many times...don't be nervous ... Just look at me and sing...forget the world around u.."manik said holding nandini by shoulder and looking intensely in her eyes
"Manik...but the number I sing... Are meant to be sing in such high profile parties" nandini said worriedly
"Nandini what ever u sing...sing naturally ...feeling it...and shut this f***ing bit** up ..."manik said with utmost sincerity.
Seeing calmness and sereneness on his face she felt herself protected and assured that someone is their watching her back...
Manik squeezed her hand gently in encouragement...she jerked her head up and walked towards the stage with determination to kill two birds with on stone...manik and that bitch
She confidently held the mike and begin

Nandini jerked her head up and looked straight in maniks eyes intensely.manik was surprised by the choice of her song and a smirk played on his face(nice move love...u srsly never fail to surprise me)

Nandini sang out passionately... Manik was mesmerised by her singing...(this girl is full of life and endless surprises...she is innocent and kiddish but mature at same time...she is beautiful and flawless which can make anyone go weak at knees but she gave damn about it ...she is strong for world around to face any situation in hand...and sometimes cry like a kid...what ever she is ...she is wholely solely mine...)
She strode across the room
Stood near Soha giving her a mischievous smile and Soha gave her a disgusted look...nandini chuckled ...
Nandini walked across the hall and reached where Manik stood mesmerised by her beauty. She coyly looked up to look at him with a seductive smile.
He blinked trying to digest the scene in front of him. she winked at him which was a sign to concentrate on the next line and not on her face.

She sang while looking at him seductively and he smiled while concentrating on the lyrics with hope that she was singing for him only.

She saw Soha walking towards manik from corner of her eye. She immediately twirled round in such a way she stood beside manik and between Soha and manik.
Nandini sang directly looking in soha's eyes full of anger giving her a victorious smirk she sang
Jo bhi ho, humko toh darna hi nahi hai ab kabhi
Jab hame jo laga, humne wahi keh diya
Manik scratched his forehead , avoiding people to see him giggling at nandini's antics as he could clearly see invisible smoke coming out soha's ears seeing her plan getting back fired
She looked at the audiance which started snapping their fingers, enjoying the song
Manik's chest swelled proudly seeing her appreciated by people...
(No one can escape nandini's charm)
manik sighed dreamily...
