Chapter 2: OFFICIALLY SCREWED
Nandini was concentrating on the key and the lock as if it was most complicated work till this date...numerous attempts brought a frown on her face...suddenly door opened like MAGIC!!!! ...
"Nandini !!!! U r drank... How could u ...its harmful for you" mukti said as her eyes widened in horror...
" ohh!!! Mukhhtii...itzzz zuuu...m sorry darling..." Said Nandini "muktii ...I really love him ...I miss him so badly...it really hurts"and
she started crying flanging her arms around mukti's neck
"Nandini don't u think he deserves to know the truth ...its been long time now ... And u need him right now" as she understood "him", she referred to Manik
Just then Navya and cabir entered the apartment and stood near door looking at the duo who were oblivious of their presence
Nooo...never..I love him...and my love is selfish as I don't want any kind of pain to even come near her...and selfless because I want to see him happy...to settle well in his life...
Today I saw his eyes they had hatred , anger and pain with which will fade with time and will get over it claiming it as a fling...but I can't let him live with a my memories ...he has a long life a head I can't be this mean ... I will love him and shine for him even after forever... she hugged mukti more tightly and kept mummering I love him in crook of her neck
Mukti caress her hair, silently soothing her till her breath evened...as she slept hugging her on couch...she made her lay down securely and covered her with quilt.

"Why you lied us about jiya's health...you know how scared we were...Navya was going mad with each passing second..." Said cabir worriedly pacing across the living room
"But why u left her alone there and lied to us...I am not able to understand what's going on"
"Guys , I had to do it... wanted her to face it all alone" said mukti keeping hand on navya's shoulder
"Wait a sec, what did u just say...what she has to face?" said cabir with a confused and annoyed look on his face
Mukti took a deep breath wondering its time for them to know it and said sighing
"Manik" with closed eyes
"What about manik??...please don't tell me u what I m thinking is right" stated Cabir in annoyance
" yes u guys are thinking right manik is back in town"
"And was with Nandini ...how could u mukti...you know her condition but still...." Said crying Navya accusingly
"Dont worry Nandini was not alone there and aryamann is there for her in the club.."said mukti walking towards Navya and cabir
" yes, I bought manik back to the town...I deliberately made u people to leave the club so that u don't come face to face with manik atleast today...I am not playing any cupid role between them ...I just want them to be together...at least it is a good feeling to see your love everyday" said mukti calmly
" what do you guys think...I don't care about Nandini...I don't care about Manik...No one can understand their state better then me...I don't want them to go through same pain which I had gone through " Said mukti gulping the lump in her throat , turning away from them to hide her tears
Navya went towards mukti and turned her around by her holding her shoulder and said " we know that the way u can handle and understand them...no other can do that...but what about the promise we made to Nandini...we can't break her trust"
"Guys, We are not gonna break her trust ... I am just trying to make them face each other...they both love each other ...and if fate wants...there love will surely find ways to reach them...and I need your support"
"I trust u ...I am in" said Navya and hugged mukti
"Wow young ladies...you are not understanding the intensity of situation in your psychodrama...its Manik we are dealing with..."
" com'on cabir...stop sounding like a cry baby...moreover aliya and dhruv are coming tommorow as I had to leave all formalities undone on after concert because Nandini needed me her more...and when fab5 comes together ...ofcouse with black and white madhubala...then we can handle 10 manik easily in a go..." Said mukti grinningly
"Ohky... I m in too as i am not left with any other option ...am I ?" Said cabir with a content smile

Next day as soon as mukti and Nandini reached silver swish fashion house where se works as executive manager and mukti as designer he announcement for all staff to assemble in conference room immediately oblivious of shocking surprise waiting for them.
They rush towards conference room and settled down hurriedly.
" Good morning ladies and gentleman. U must be thinking reason of sudden meeting so here is the reason. Peers ,Silver swish fashion house is now a part of giant honourable malhotra empire of industries. As we all know we have open again a new branch in France so for starting 6 months I have decided to shift Mr singha and Mr johar there so we have vacant positions and we cannot afford a new employee on those position so board of directors have decided to place Ms Nandini Murthy As Head of executive department

Manik smirked looking at at the effect he has on her. He deliberately faked cough to snap Nandini out of her lala land
"Stupid jittery nerves ! Get hold of yourself woman...you were shamelessly checking him out"she muttered , seizing the errent paper to avoids meeting his eyes and to smoothly pass time till the time he is done gives motivational speech and discussing future agendas .
But nandini 's thoughts wandered all over place and finally sighed phrasing- Aiiappa, My life and me are officially royally screwed
Manik continued speaking and explains the team everything and observing continuous changing expression on her face and was hardly paid attention to him.
" Ms Murthy...you seem to be bit distracted...are u getting what I m saying"said Manik mockingly
Still Nandini didn't respond and kept her graze lower in deep thought
Mukti stumped on her foot hurriedly under the table to snap her out of her fantasy world
" ouch.!!! " Nandini said giving a painful and irritated look towards Mukti
Mukti cleared her throat and signalling towards Manik
She hurriedly replied
" yes ... Ofcouse ...sure"faking a grin
"Ohky ...so meeting comes to an end ...please resume your respective work ...and Ms Murthy stay back "
Listening to his last sentence , Nandini
frozed and shut her eyes tightly. And waited for the room to get vacant
Composing herself , Mandini turned around and said
" yes sir...how may I help u" giving him a calm and professional look
"yes Ms Nandini Murthy..only u can help me in that"said manik walked dangerously slow towards her and went soo close to her that she could feel his breath hit her face.His musky male scent was playing havoc with her senses.She felt butterflies fluttering in her stomach.Her chest rising n falling evenly, her breath fanning the column of his neck, sending small jolts of electricity through out him.
He glanced at her serene face again, he couldnt avert his eyes, as if they had a mind of their own.
Manik, somehow managed to complete the distance n cupped her face gently and bent towards her ears
She unconsciously licked her dry lips and his eyes darted towards them. He smirked looking at the effect he has on her.
"Your worst nightmare came true" Manik whispered
