Manik was so numb and hurt and angry by his own actions..as if one sees oneself from outside..and he saw in each tear that fell from her eyes the reflection of that boy he was not.
His monster image had been shattered by this girl and he was desperately trying to piece it together as much as he could, using her tears and his words...and yet, it could never be..the cracks would appear as soon as she cried, got hurt, even the thought of her with anyone else was enough...the gentlest touch of her hand, her bite marks..just the way she said his name...it was enough for that image to break down, as surely as she did.

he said that.. and he did too..not in the same way, but with an added guilt. My God, the monster wanted to be her hero, but ended up becoming a selfish friend instead :(
