This was just heartbreaking and yet beautiful at the same time 😭

Like Musicana boy that phase I still cant go back and watch those episodes becauce they are so painful. My monster Manik who had finally dared to love and be good had to to give up on his only source of light because of his friend. In the entire process it was he who was hurt the most because along with giving her up he also had to maintain this facade of nonchalance when just the opposite of it was true. That his body ached to hold her in his arms and to console her, to make her smile and be HER MANIK!

Wow.

You've captured his dilemma, his anguish, all the pain, so beautifully. Those episodes had been painful to watch (even though I caught up late and binge watched them). He had to choose between two of the most important people in his life (because he hadn't yet called Nandini THE most important), and as much as I wished he would cut the crap and talk to her, (or for Nandini to turn the tables and make him suffer), I could see why he was doing it as well. And you've written that out so wonderfully.

Because Dhruv was the good person, and he was the Monster. Because she smiled for Dhruv. And so he chose to mock all their moments, mock her, so she wouldn't see through his mask.

And the last paragraph is my favourite.

But in all this Manik Malhotra forgot that Nandini Murthy was a human being, not a toy that could be passed on to his buddy. He forgot that he had to think about her emotions, about what she felt instead of making a decision for the both of them without taking her into consideration. He did not know that he was her first kiss. He did not know that her emotions were pure. He did not know that he was the first guy in her life. He did not know that the fireflies glowed for them under the starlit sky and fireflies only glow when there is true love. Manik Malhotra continued to single handedly destroy himself and what he had with Nandini Murthy, completely unaware of the fact that they were fated.

And so Nandini punched him. 😃
