I agree that it's the girls' choice to be out there doing whatever they want to and get mocked at for that... But that doesn't mean the audience have the right to mock at them... It only shows their mindset and it's upto them to choose their opinion about others but they also shouldn't forget that they are displaying a part of their own character in the name of their opinion about others...
Yes, I too don't support unwanted presence of men/women just for the commercial purpose.. But again it's their choice... Remember there were days where movies had item girls and villains separated from the heroines and heroes... They were portrayed as symbols of how not to be... People didn't follow their dressing styles or characters... But slowly things changed and realism took over making idealism out of fashion... Now every hero does a shade of villainous in them... And every heroine is doing an item and making a trend out of it... People blindly follow this trend not understanding that the item sequence was done under a secured environment and people around them were not really crooked but scripted to be that way... So it's with the audience to have this intelligence to understand and choose neither to be a crooked person nor be an item just like those... And again it's their choice... And yes media has a major role to play in spreading the right things in the right way...
