What I do like about this show is that the imbalance is that Nandini is a character, as are the others; she isn't a one-dimentional flat caricature. I love that she has thoughts, she has opinions and she has a life beyond manik. Will that life ever be fully explored? not really..I feel that is also because the show is conceptualized like that. Nandini's pain is hidden too deep inside to be just revisited. I strongly feel that after this fab5 conflict is over, the next track Will be nandini. The poor kid has taken too many burdens on her tiny shoulders and she needs to be held too. she needs to have someone who will shoulder some of her burdens and take care of her for a change...for that, we need manik to fully accept her and their relationship, without feeling guilty every time something happens with his friends and he's not around.

Since the show itself focuses on fab5 and the male lead, as that is, that will be what sells (we live in a very awfully ingrained patriarchal society); still within that scope, I feel nandini's character is relatively a very strong female character, and that scope we all see..at least some of it will be explored. I have faith..

Whereas book is written and then sold. Market, product differs hence the constraints. Which is why having two damaged souls running parallel is not possible for a daily audience because they need a moral compass to justify the grey character.

Here is something I tell you which is subjective about Nandini , she never gives up on people. We saw it happening with DHruv, Navya and now when she does that with Manik, people go oh why is she always running behind him. Why is she so needy? Do you notice how she is perceived. Because she is the moral compass she will forever be judged and because she is the narrator we will always be at odds with her character as our sympathies with the protagonist increases.

If you wanted her struggles then that would have been established in the first 67 episodes but those were needed to define his world. Justify him. We couldn't have run it with Nandini's struggles because she was shown to be his star , the one who brought perspective in his world.

They can only to to Nandini once they are done with Manik.

Art is art. Great art is not about excuses, not really. They could have made it finite or come back with a season. We all see this one show more as a book than a show so we all are bound to have expectations from it.

Nandini doesn't have to be damaged. Every single person, damaged or no, has more than his/her share of conflicts. She's a teenager at the end of the day. She's bound to and should have these conflicts. About music, about being able to perform, about so many other things. Why always put everything on Nandini and Manik has the free pass being grey?

And the reason she's perceived that way is because Cvs themselves have put her on a pedestal, a lot of audience cannot connect with her because they find Manik more intriguing and while some feel exactly the opposite.

And here's my problem. Why is it Nandini who has to again come and tell Manik, in fact, as everybody said, fight with him about thinking of them?

I know you'll say because that's how Manik is, and he'll learn now, and because Dhruv means the world to him but that's not the point. It was already 30% established in the musicana track and that jungle part where he comes and snatches Nandini's hand from Dhruv's. So all of that gone for a toss now?

The struggle should've started from midway, from Manik's mind where he goes back and revisits musicana and giving up himself in nandini's life for Dhruv and continued as he struggles to let his buddy be and find a way not back to square 1, i can't give up on my buddy, then again starting from scratch and Nandini coming and telling him you've to fight for us. In fact Nandini should this time chide him. She should tell him that he talks about hope but he's right because he never fights for them, never ever. Why should he escape it too? Why should she be a sandwich btw this fab5 ka museebat. Why always she have to tell Manik ke please yeh karo toh usko akal ayegi? Why always keep undermining his set of capabilities?

I know he'll get around but why from the scratch? The conflict was already established episodes and episodes before. But he has to be spoonfed everything from Nandini's part and that is because it's always about establishing Manik's struggles and reestablishing them and incorporating Nandini in a way rather than giving them their individual aspects and moments.

Too much of anything annoys anybody. They can easily throw in a Nandini conflict here.
About music
or Rishab.
and even as they've their set of differences, he'll be there for her, just doing what she does for him, and enable her the way she does.
The first 67 episodes were the best of the show.😆 they definitely had individual climbing but so inter related.

Lol you are ranting on Manik because you wanted him to figure out his conflict about Dhruv and his sacrifice shit on his own. Cheeky Rida, sorry but he too is a refection of Nandini because she brings the other moral perspective.
Yes she is placed on a moral pedestral because you will need the right version to play against his dark version druing the early episodes.VISUAL MEDIA CONSTRAINTs.

There was no growth for Nandini in your beloved 67 episodes , all her individual perspectives were till the point she thought of him as bad - it coincided with our view of him too. The minute she stopped looking at him harshly we softened at him too. And then their story started and she drifted away from Navya, her world.

I edited my previous comment but forget damaged part. Her loss during Musicana was amplified when she mentioned how it is like the accident night, not many could understand the impact coz it got lost with Manik's theatrics . When she demands that what about her, people call her selfish. See the reaction?

You have 7 characters, 20mins to see daily their story. But Love story is the essence . Try fixing it up for a daily show , you will need a focal point and a contrasting moral ground to justify the greyness.

See you are harping for Manik's growth when people are not getting Nandini's perspective.

I hate when people says she is being clingy , chasing him all the time because she has done that for Dhruv, Navya and everyone. So why won't she do that for someone that she loves. Here we even have the tangible reaction yet we cannot connect with it.We will want her to dump his sorry ass . Because fact is while we relate to Manik because he is grey , we want Nandini to be the perfect version of us where we end up fighting our shit through her. So she ends up being his moral compass as well as ours too, where the disconnect comes to play.

No serial explores the conflict completely , finite would mean glossing the recovering and season would mean shifting the focus entirely. Why cannot you take post concert as seasonal shift towards Nandini.
I will give you an example, one of my fav serials- The Good wife, best written network show right now, had a character Kalinda sharma, break-out one , people were curious about her and she was all fearless. Everyone wanted to connect or have her story explored. So 3rd season writers gave it a shot and few episodes down nobody liked it , they couldn't like a confused, weak Kalinda and writers were forced to shut that track mid-way in a seasonal show. Just haivng that idea is one thing executing and selling it is another.
