Well your Q is a complex one may be I will try to answer in my capacity..

Love has many forms..manic has not experienced moms love and he truely craves for that love,touch and attention..that unbiased, unconditional and never giving up kind of love!

Remember, when he was in all monster mode, the first time he took notice very subtly but registered within him strongly was how Nandini offered him glass of water when he was coughing, and in between many and by the scene she said he needs to catch some sleep, manics expression was of acceptance ...of course, the lighting fire was one more important scenes which reaffirmed the kind of love he's been in search of..unconditional..

Manic is well aware of Cabir and his mom relation..the little boy knows how it is in small packets as Cabirs mom was always been loving to him..say, like this how a bird makes a nest twig by twig, manic do observe, notice and absorbs those moments to recreate love with people whom he could express..

loved ur post as always.. but would like to disagree on one point that u stated.. if she would have hugged him, he would have melted like the ice cream he bought for her.. but what they really need is to let that anger n sadness to go away slowly n steadily from his life, so that it carries away every inch of darkness that looms in his life.. her last sentence to him was like a food for thought.. to sit n ponder, think n realize, make him a better person, bring out his best that she wants to see n his friends r yet to see.. n that would come only when she takes baby steps towards him...

but for Manik Malhotra, my heart went out at the look he gave while she was having the ice cream like a little kid n then, when he licked the same from her fingers.. true love comes in what form, nobody can ever know until we cross it,.. the same is happening with our beloved MaNan..

It's my opinion that in hard times...difficult times...a little bit of expression of love does help...if she could in some way show him her affection...more so than what she did...may be it would have made some difference...it definitely makes me feel better 😊!! Expression of love never goes to waste... The rest what you say is true too...but that is a different point altogether. Hugging him..would not detract her from the rest!! Yes...poor MaNan have been hit by true love indeed...

eve, you write so well.

I am in such a emotional state today after watching the epi, Manik evokes such maternal instincts in me at times, his pain , hurt, loneliness hurts so bad. 😭
It really pained me to see how none not even one person of fab4 know the real Manik, not even one person can see his hurt and pain. Manik sure has been a good actor to put up that facade but then when i think about this boy who has gone through so much of shit thanks to his parents, a dad who left him with his mother, a mother who has scarred him emotionally, used his for her own benefits and all that he would have expected is some love from them , he must have been shunned very badly and made feel so un loved and be abused emotionally .

Despite all these he loves Nandu will all his heart, he loves her like no one does, how thoughtful of him to keep her likes and dislikes in check even in this state, how he forgets all his pain and just rushes to soothe her pain. I do not think i can love this character anymore than what i already do.
He is such LOVE.

All i can wish is , quoting chachi 's words to nandu where she says he is Manik in true sense and also asks her to take care of him.
