And I bet you scream...today we all scream for...Ice cream!! Or to be very precise the guy who got the ice cream...drove around ...in the middle of the night, at around four am...even though he was sick to his stomach...and got every single flavor he could think of cause he was not sure what his lady love..oops hate...would desire or like...and then stand below her window, trying to figure out how to get it to her...sigh...such a monster!!
Today we all want this guy...a guy who would first forcefully make us drink glasses of vinegar...and yes, we want that too...you see we want every single part, every single facet of his personality cause that's what makes him...the man we love!! I want him...a man who will show cruel indifference and yet drink the poison of life with me, sip by sip..match me gulp by gulp!! If m throat burns, his sizzles too...if my stomach hurts...his aches too. A man who will never let me suffer and if I do, he will be in pain with me, suffering with me every moment of my agony!!
Or may be we should just discuss the lines that will remain etched in our memories...it hurts to hurt you!! His pain at her pain...his rawness of emotions, the searing sentimentality of his words, the haunting, echoing agony in his eyes...his sheer helplessness!! The futility of his anger and bitterness in the face of one simple fact that he loves her...irrevocably, relentlessly, blindly, devotedly, crazily...all adjectives will fall short in the face of such adoration!! Oh his frustration...he wants her to feel all that's eating him up on the inside and yet when he would do anything and everything to shield her from the very same pain!! Confusing...antithesis...yes...but you see he is a true lover...he will always put her first!! Her pleasure, her happiness, her safety, her ease and comfort...The way he totally ignores himself and his dire needs and wants is so heart wrenching!! Selfless gets a new definition when it sees Manik Malhotra in love!!
Or may be we can't get over his eyes...the eyes that were devouring her!! Her every lick, her every swipe...just seeing her eating it away like a little kid, with her fingers...the sheer pleasure and joy in his eyes!! Now that's what mesmerization is!! That's what casting a spell actually is!! Nothing in the world had or ever would give him such blissful pleasure as just looking at her...demolishing his gift!! He forgot all the burn, all the hassles of his over burdened life..and just stood staring at that center of his universe!! She relished and he cherished!! She ate and he felt the coolness!! She tasted and he felt satiated!! What...indeed what madness is love??? His eyes, watching her, obsessing over her, drooling over her...seducing her, demanding her, caressing her, ...his heart in his eyes...beating, reverberating ...
And he smiled, forgetting everything..his heart hummed, his eyes lightened up...you so wanted to see him smile Nandini...you should have just lived some more in your pleasure...you see...all it takes to make him happy is your happiness!! His smile might not be evident...but his eyes had such sheer happiness mirrored in them when he saw your childish enjoyment!! His expression when she finally offered him a piece of his gift...hmmm girl 😆 so generous of you...and his choice, his want...his need...he did not want that ice cream...he wanted you..☺️!! Not a finger...all of you...to gobble up...and smack his lips..now that's a real monster!! How sweet was the ice cream when she fed him?? Fed him like a baby...her all grown up six feet something but desperate for her attention baby!! And how he enjoyed this gesture of affection from her..how he has waited for something like this his whole life!! Just a question..did anyone ever feed this child?? So much was eddying in that one moment...sensual yet sweet, exciting yet exclusive, adult yet childlike, naughty and innocent...it was all in there...making it such an intoxicating mixture...
This is what Shakespeare meant by a midsummer night's dream...a midnight madness!! Just one thing...she should have kissed him...hugged him tight ..so tight...and never should have let go of him!! This guy who walks to the ends of the earth for her...Nandini...he deserves all your love...your expression of adoration and more...much more. And something tells me if you would have hugged him tight...the ice would have thawed. If you would have rained kisses on him...the tears would have come. If ...only if you would have showered him with love...he would have melted..in a gooey puddle at your feet...cause all he wants is love and all he needs is you!!
What more do I say about him...Nandini is one heck of a lucky girl to have found this gem in men...she is blessed to have this guy walk by her side all her life!! I know...ever ygirl needs one...wants one...desires one.. and she has him in the palm of her hand...May be some dreams do come true..some prayers are heard...some wishes fulfilled...and may be one day we will find a Manik Malhotra!!
