Manik and Nandini are teenagers. They've known each other for barely 6 months and we expect them to magically have this unreprimandable and unconditional trust? Hardly.Nandini does not trust Manik. Not fully.Let me say that again. Not fully. Not the way he expects her to. She loves him. Yes. She trusts him with her life. I think so. She trusts him to love her. I think so.But this is another faucet of trust. As someone who knows Manik so well and loves him so much, it struck me hard when she had to go to Cabir to reassure herself that Manik is not capable of murder. That was not Nyo playing with her emotions. Nyo didn't generate the mistrust. She only used it. Nandini did the one thing Manik cannot forgive, the one thing Manik considers above all - breaking his trust. There are no two ways about this. She err'ed. She fell. But is this the end of the road? HA! It is only the beginning. These two are not perfect. Their relationship isn't perfect. They are learning and getting to know each other only bit by bit. Manik has huge trust issues, i don't think Nandini even knows the full extent of it. He's complicated and f*ed up in so many ways. (I mean that in the most loving way possible BTW) and she's only just gotten to the tip of the ice berg.Let them fall and let them grow. It makes their journey that much more engaging.
