Dhruv's mysterious 'jo dikhta hai wo hota nahi' makes sense now almost half a century episodes later.I'mma hug ya Cvs ... you be damn awesome!👏
But at this point, seeing how fab5 are actually so different than their actual portrayal, we can wonder on every huge and the littlest of their actions and debate whether they would have done it or not.
That time when Cabir came running and informed everyone that the girls who ruined their 'plans' for shahid were taking admission in their collage? People were so repulsed, like seriously? you want to kill someone and then torture the people who saved the person?
All there sordid 'plans' for their targets clashes so badly with what we get to see of them when they are with each other in intimate settings or the things they usually said during those heavy moments. Now, it all makes sense.
I am not going to defend their extreme actions and sadistic ways, really. They know they like to torture people who mess with them, I know it and you know it. If they are not concerned about defending themselves then who am I to do so? I think I understand the way they work better now. They know they are not the good people but they also know that they are not the bad people either. Honestly, the main attraction of this show is that everyone is human. Everyone is good, can be good and everyone can be bad and have mean sadistic streaks. Even Navya Naveli.
Fab5, they knew they were not going to take it extreme, they knew they were bullying people and all that because they have the power but they also knew their truth, the truth Manik revealed today. They knew it among themselves, that is it .They see no need to justify themselves and give reasons and explanations to the world because the world owes nothing to them. They have no desire to appear good, to be accepted by the society. Either it be Manik Baba, who would rather appear as to the world as the male version of cruella than make himself give justifications for what he and his packmates do. Dare anyone say Manik Malhotra can be nice, can do nice things? He would rather bully them just to make sure his Bad' image remains intact. Or Cabir who would rather be an evil genius with a sadistic artistic streak than appear as the complete Momma's boy he actually is. Even his need is not to do with world but himself and his family. He was too scared of being rejected by the people he loves, not the world he is always mocking. While Raghav is worried about the world, Cabir is worried about his friends and mom. He doesn't ask for the worlds acceptance, he asks for his friends support so he can deal with the world, like they always do.
Or Dhruv who would rather sit in the corner, and side-eye the things happening with bored or uncomfortable expressions than actually call his friends out directly in front of the world. Why? Because as Manik said, he trusts Dhruv to have utmost faith in him no matter what.Manik's reaction to Dhruv's doubt is more understandable now. No matter what the world things,Manik doesn't care. Dhruv's trust in him is more important to him. At that point it didn't make sense. Hello Monster Manik, what? Trust you to not take things to the extreme when we have seen you doing it before? No, It was Manik breaking his beautiful guitar because Dhruv actually believed it when Manik said that he did send the goons. It was Manik angsting over the fact that Dhruv could think that he would actually go from being bad' to being evil without a heart. It was Dhruv's faith in his buddy, no matter how blind it may seem at some point, that made him just sit there and tune his guitar. Where he felt the situation was getting out of hand, like when Nandini was being made to drink that thing', he instead of going out of his way to protest, quietly acted like a disinterested person who would rather leave with his guitar and in the process make the drink fall and use Manik's protective Mama Lion tendencies to completely distract him from the matter in hand.
To some point, they hide their real self from each other too. Not between Dhruv and Manik, they are too transparent to each other. But all of them hide some parts of themselves even from the group due to whatever reasons. Appearing disinterested and not affected at all just to keep up their image. Either it be Manik hiding his guilt of Nandu bleeding because of him in front of his 'family' or Cabir being all chilled out and in your face to hide his vulnerability. And Dhruv, who probably tries to be all zen around his friend in case something triggers him and he gets an attack in front of the group. I think that their endgame would be if they could finally just stop hiding from themselves .
Everything just makes more sense now. God, I am overwhelmed.
What I wondered was why Manik would tell Dhruv to be his rescue soldier? Mostly because he knows Dhruv is not comfortable with their ideas, and would rather not be seeing it, let alone take part in it. Manik is like making sure to cover up all the sides, make sure nothing goes out of hand and then make sure Dhruv doesn't become even more closed-off.Dhruv doesn't do well with guilt or anger or any extreme feeling apart from whatever special he shares with Manik Baba and now Nandu and fab5. It is not Dhruv's choice, it is his need to be Zen no matter what. I think he feels safe like that, when he doesn't feel too strongly about anything. Can you blame him? The zen guy in the show can become violent like a hulk and not even like Manik or Harshad. It is actually extreme where he could hurt others regardless of who it is and himself. I do realize that the guy is kind of scared of himself, probably doesn't understand himself, either. His mystery is the biggest one in the show and still a tightly protected one. If Cabir used to wish to be Normal then Dhruv too must wish that he could be normal, like all the time. I wish that his Mother would stop saying how she wishes she could have his son, as if he is not there anymore, just a shell of a person. While Manik, for him, he met Dhruv the same day of the accident .To him, he had not known some other Dhruv, this Dhruv has always been it for him. This Dhruv with his flaws and quietness and attacks is his wish fulfilled by a shooting star man. They are like star mates or something. I just don't want anything bad to happen because of this whole debacle of Alya giving him lessons on how to get Nandu. If this ends up bad for Dhruv - in anyway if you know what I mean, then it won't be rainbows and cookies for Manik either. They are too co-dependent and everything happening with each other affects them. Dhruv getting hurt, in ANY WAY in this situation will break Manik. I cannot see him blaming himself and feeling guilty. Dhruv and Manik's relationship is so precious, I just want to put a blanket around it and keep it safe.
I wanted drunk Nandu to inquire about her Dad's pen😆 --- broke it? Fine! Why not say sorry like a normal person when you come to know how important it is? Again, the same thing. Manik's need to be the big and bad', probably due to his Mother. Sometimes, it feels like he is inflicting the same pain on others inflicted by his Mother on his heart. Poor boy.
On a lighter note, where am I supposed to put a petition for keeping Nandu drunk for the rest of the show?😳 Why does she have to be so damn adorable?Man, I am so enthralled with this doll. She threw lime water on Baba Manik. I knew they were making her take her built-up frustration out on the Monster. She has been totally taking revenge for everything he ever did to her. Yep, harass the guy some more baby. He deserves it and definitely wants it. Now, I just need to see them cuddle on the hood of the car. A drunk Nandu is definitely the most awesome Nandu. What courage did it give her, no? She completely called Manik Baba out on his entire BS ever. The girl is gonna be the death of me and Manik. Now I just need to see her poke Manik's nose and kiss it. Please, pretty please.
Raghav, Raghav - Finally, getting something from you. Ugh, the scene was so adorable and intimate and was like a glass of water in your face after the cutesy Manik-Nandu. While ManAn is so endearing to me due to its fairytale-ish element of Beauty and the Beast, I am so besotted with RagBir for its simplicity and utter realism. I love how realistic and grounded Cabir is when he is around R. And I am finally able to see R as not a teacher but Cabir's love. Nothing of the Cabir the whole collage is petrified of apart from the sass and sarcasm that is. He is so optimistic ( more so, thanks to Manik Baba, bless you child.) and relaxed. That is what love does to you, makes you feel like a different person all together. He finds his contentment and completion in sitting with his love, just laying around in his presence and listening to him play some music.*sigh*. Raghav's fear is so real, unfortunately. The way he said they might be burned on the streets because of their love, is not even an exaggeration and I can't explain it in words just how upsetting that is.But, even though Cabir thinks differently, he still accepts that Raghav is not wrong. It might actually be the case so instead of worrying about it, being scared of the futuret, let us just enjoy the time we have and be happy together. I love how they could actually meet in the middle even though they both are poles apart in their thinking and opinions.
