Why you worry so much , nothing in life is homogenous, just be happy that a majority of our fandom on here are more into discussing broader issues within the show. I mean I will admit it without qualms, MaNan makes my heart sing and I love watching them but I do like all the other aspects of the show too and I am excited to watch it. I like characters when they show me layers and growth, and I get bored with characters that don't show me this😆

A lot of people do watch the show for more straight-forward stuff, I can't judge them , for god knows if I can go a week without watching MaNan to be honest😆

😆 Well, you guys are balanced and mature, so, that's not wrong.

However, since the AT is starting soon, remember that it may just become infested with obnoxious people, so you guys should maintain a backup plan, like a CC or a club thing-y.

Lot of experience with forums, you see.

^^ Episode discussion threads don't really work in youth show forums TBH. But it will be nice if it does. We already get review threads of Mais and Shelly, so.

AT has a lot of annoying and strict rules where you can't really have fun or discuss. So, you guys do need a backup plan of sorts lol.

Sorry for barging in. But seriously, I get you. It is actually physically sickening, literally. I too have awesome friends, engineers and Marine and Army guys who are btw gay and I have known and connected with so many people from LGBT community and sometimes I just feel so helpless and disgusted being around in this society and people surrounding me. They totally did a comic skit in my collage with a stereotypical 'gay guy' who could not even stand straight apart from the usual overly feminine body language because 'hello, not straight'. And everyone around me were laughing, apart from my friends who kept giving me these looks. Then some girl said that the guy acting as gay might as well be a gay guy because apparently his body language even off the stage is like that. And the guy is actually in my class and I could not look at him and find anything 'gay' about him because he doesnt go around with 'I am gay' board.I was just so out of my mind and upset and then that night I had to see Cabir and R saying that thing about being burned on the street and you can probably understand that I don't even know how to explain what i felt.

It is so strange -- Humans are scared of the unknown and what they don't understand but here, people don't even try. It is 'against nature', 'abnormal' and whatever. Yeah, explain it to my friend who waits for his Man to come back for months when he is on duty.

And I don't even go around giving a piece of my mind to everyone because thee is always the reply that 'my life, my opinions'.

So how are we supposed to react when people actually come along trying to use 'g**' as some derogatory word just because they are not apparently comfortable with it and find it 'boring'.

Medha, I can't even.

That was a wonderful wonderful post. I don't even know what to add to that. I myself have been friends with this guy friend of mine since forever and maybe that's why I connected so well with Manik's disbelief. It's easy enough to talk about homosexuality objectively, but when you actually see your friend crying and breaking down in front of you for just trying to be who they are, it breaks you heart in a way you can't even picture.

I myself have hung out and connected with people who are supposedly "different" for a long time and I feel physically sick with ignorance and hatred. Now I just try to ignore them. My boyfriend understands so I can talk to him about this.

Like you mentioned in this previous post of yours, India is going through a transitional phase. Nobody knows how long it will last. Maybe forever.
