Apparently even Hindus are victims to such discrimination... One of my friends was hauled up at Heathrow airport because he had the Swastika tatooed on his arm... He was called fascist and what not... They were not ready to believe that the Swastika is actually a Hindu religious symbol which was misused by Hitler to promote fascism.... The symbol was a religious one even before Hitler was born...

yeh u r right !! well i am a normal muslim !! i never went to give my finger prints !! and i never went to go and ask for visa my dad P. A go and gives r passports to them and we get r visa !!

No I am not an American, not that it's of any importance what I am. Secondly no one called Mohammed Iqbal Khan a terrorist but that name is on the terror list and therefore they HAVE to take extra safety measures. He isn't a star overseas so he isn't going to get special treatment.

I think it's sad that Iqbal wants to publicize this event as racial descrimination, when it's anything but. Comments like this spark hatred between communities which is not right. I understand that Iqbal is angry, but why publicize the issue. Frankly it's just irresponsible celebrity behaviour.

So he has extra paperwork to do because he has the same name as someone with terrorist links. I am glad that these measures are in place and they are in place for YOU and ME. So, it is safe for us to fly planes and go about our normal business without being blown up.

I feel for people who have to do extra paper work or have to wait longer but they should understand that we don't live in a perfect world. There are a lot of evil people and because of them many people lose their lives or lose their family members. The inconvenience he is having is nothing compared to people who may lose their lives if there was no system in place.

Absolutely right. I feel for Iqbal, but I'm not sorry for the measures they are taking, it's absolutely necessary. Unfortunately we know what can happen when such measures are not taken.

i agree what what u all have said and even i wanna know why srk , salman khan , amir , fardeen and ect.. are not deneid visa's . the main reason was that his name was mohammad iqbal khan ( as far as it said in the newspaper)..........................

I completely agree with wat Star_m, worldclass diva, iqbalneha4eva worte. Government is doin all this just for the safety of the citizens. we should understnad that we dont leave in a safe world anymore....things like this is bound to happen.....5 years back they didnt do anything like this cuz it wasnt needed back then, and we all thought that the world we live in is safe....but we know we are not safe.....if Government is trying to take precautions we shud support them and not critize them....and this has nothin to do with americans....in USA there are ppl from all the parts of the world and not just white ppl......

Iqbal being a public figure shudnt make this sound like discrimination......he shud give his support and try to spread peace and not give a reason to increase the misunderstanding in ppls mind....he shud understand why they are doing and not to take it personally.....

No one cares who Iqbal Khan is around the world, famous or not. They are doing their job and understandably so. Look at it from their point of view. By taking these measures they are protecting their citizens which include people from all Muslims, Asian, whites, blacks, hispanics etc. So turing this into a religious issue is quite outragous. I've been asked to give my fingerprints and what not many times, but I understand it's vital. Many tragedies have occurred in the past and I for one don't want any more.
