Firstly Happy Diwali to you and your family and I hope you get well soon.
My heart cried out for Naina and Dilip yesterday….for the first or perhaps the second time since KYPH started we got to see Naina as a mother, as a woman, as a person, who, despite her hard veneer has emotions that cut deep into her. We got to see a grieving mother, and no matter how much you dislike someone, when that person is grieving, you grieve with them. She was shattered at the loss of Angad, and lambasted Karthik for his selfishness, his carelessness of not informing her of her son's death.
What got to me the most though, was when she told Karthik about carrying Angad for nine months, for raising him, also when she told Dilip that she had consoled herself with the fact that she had to only wait three years to get her son back home, but now that wait will go on forever…..I forgave her plenty in that moment, because despite all the hardships she put him through, in the end she realizes that she has lost her son, not just in the sense that he has left home, but that she will never be able to see him again, hold him again…..that, along with those flashbacks that Dilip was having……that just broke my heart.
The almost Zaib / Mishty kiss turned my stomach. I was back in my chant mode yesterday (a few days ago, I was chanting for Zaib to deck Prithvi one), yesterday I was chanting "don't do it, for God's sake Don't do it"!!! The thought of Zaib / Angad locking lips with anyone other than Kripa just doesn't sit well with me…he and Kripa belong together and that's that!!! No matter how far he is willing to go to get revenge, to hurt Kripa to disunite Karthik and Mishty, that intimacy…..and a kiss is a very intimate thing between two lovers…..should not be used as a pawn in his game.
You're right in saying the entire scene fell flat….the slight chemistry that was there between the two of them during the party in Dubai had disappeared into thin air, despite Zaib oozing his usual dose of sex appeal….maybe it was because we were totally turned off by the events that were about to happen.
Just one question…..where is Daadi in all this??? Has she not heard or been told about the death of her Sabse Pyara Batcha….has she not seen his obituary???
