&TV launches new fiction Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls

To get the heat soaring this summer &TV, the new Hindi GEC is all set to present an exciting new fiction show - Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls. Set against the backdrop of Delhi, Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls will bring to life an eclectic mix of distinctive characters that are full of life and poles apart from each other. Produced by Cinevista and based on a popular book -Those Pricey Thakur Girls written by Anuja Chauhan, Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls is a light-hearted show that is a reflection of today's modern society and the daily hum-drum life is centered around.



Catch the Thakur girls create a storm starting March 30th, every Monday-Friday at 9:00 pm only &TV.



The story revolves around a Retd. Judge - Justice LN Thakur essayed by actor Anang Desai, his wife-Mamta played by Supriya Pilgaonkarand their five eccentric daughters-Anji (Sara Afreen Khan), Binny (Shilpa Raizada), Dabbu (Sukirti Khandpal), Chandu (Monica Sharma) and Eshu. Famous for their shenanigans and popular with the boy brigade, each of the Thakur girl has her own unique style, personality and charm to match. How the sisters are tied together yet different in their own quirky manner, deal with situations and misadventures makes for an interesting narrative.



Says Sukirti Khandpal aka Dabbu,"My character is very different from what I have done before in my career. Dabbu is an idealist girl, who is a dog lover.She is a dreamer who believes in true love and is waiting for the perfect man in her life.The show is contemporary and in sync with today's times. It reflects the bond between sisters even though they are completely opposite from each other."



Adds Sara Afreen Khan aka Anji, "My character is shown to be a perfectionist. Anji is also the fashionista, amongst the girls, who takes time assorting her look even for family dinner! Everything that she wears has to be branded. Very unlike me in real life, but it's been fun playing Anji and I hope that the audiences relate to the show with the same enthusiasm."



The show has been shot extensively in Delhi across key locations like Red Fort, India Gate, Delhi Haat, The India Habitat Centre and Connaught Place.



With a seasoned cast, Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls is all set to hit the TV screens starting 30th March, 2015 at 9:00 PM only on &TV!

& TV, the new Hindi GEC is all set to present a new fiction show titled, Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls'. This show is based on the novel, Those Pricey Thakur Girls', by Anuja Chauhan. Actors Sukirti Kandpal and Aamir Ali will play protagonists Debjani and Dylan respectively in the show.

The show is a light-hearted drama that is a reflection of today's society and the daily hum-drum life centered around.
