@eklayvafan1; psawyer; ankit: Great POVS and analysis. 👏. I hope the writers of KGGK show as much maturity in the storyline as your posts contain.

I read an interesting question by someone - asking us to picture if Pranay was basically a nice person and if he had done this because Mets was in love with Adi and he was threatened. - My take is that marriage is not a free license for legalized rapes. Physical relations have to be consentual and both parties need to agree to it. So being threatened is not an acceptable reason - nothing really is. Even if there was no Adi and Pranay & Mets were happily married and Pranay forced himseld on Mets one fine day when she didn't want it - it would still be rape.

Unfortunate thing is that indian laws are archaic and gives men too much leverage over women. Pranay is a total creep but as most of you gals pointed out most people tend to think that men have blanket ownerships on their wives. And I really really resent that.

Regarding posts about Adi saving Mets, I take strong offense to that idea. Marrying Adi is not going to bring any closure for Mets. Mets does NOT need Adi to marry her & save her from Pranay. She can & should do it on her own. She may need friends to support her and listen to her but its her fight not Adi's.

The Lady in yellow saari is Aditya's biological mother? She is so... I mean young and pretty to be his mother. How is this possible.
And as for Pr. even if they take him to court how are they going to prove it? The cell phone? which evidently got turned on by his shoes, lol.

Hey anjudiva! i completely agree with u.Marriage does not give u the liberty to do whatever u wish do with ur wife.I have to say whatever we have seen in last few episodes is a reality and it gives the true picture of our so called modern indian society. Its a trajedy that we don't have stringent laws to nail the culprits who treat their wife as a dirt and commit this heinous crime😡😡.

What really pains me to see,is the attitude of family in this sensitive matter🤢.They choose to brush of this matter to save thier pride and honour in society or bcoz its a "husband-wife matter"🤢.I felt so disgusted when sonu asked maithalli to forget the whole thing as a bad dream and asked her to go on a vaccation with praney😡🤢.

I heard they are conducting a poll, asking viewer to chip in their opinions on whether paro shud take this issue to the court, but irrespective of the results i want paro to move the court, bcoz i fear people will vote against paro going to the court, given the sick mentalaity they have on this issue😡😡.

Oh Dear! Ankit...i really hope that does'nt happen!! 😭 Seriously, i hope our viewers don't have the same rigid, "male-dominated" mentality as shown by the AGs 🤢...really hope they support Parvati on this matter!

I really want everyone to support Parvati in her fight...representing that they are with all those victims who've gone thru' this pain 😭...encouraging each one to stand up for themselves n fight for justice. 👏

Hi Ankit, Sakshi,

I agree - the show does deal with some harsh realities. Sadly, we have people in our families who would say that a man owns his wife. I have a lot to say on this topic - but most it would be considered offensive by many on this forum. I really admire your controlled responses - a skill that I would never master. So let me just vent by saying that most of our fellow country men & women are very blind to flaws in our culture (so fixing the issues doesn't even come into picture - just like the cat who believes that by closing its eyes and shutting out the world, the world is unable to see it too).

Regarding the show -I do hope they go to court. I am seriously pissed that they are asking for an audience poll to decide how to go forward on the story line. It really irks me that for once Ekta wouldn't stop thinking about TRPs and would endorse an issue that deals with the very essence of being a woman. I am really hoping that she would do the right thing this time around - that too in a tasteful manner, not as Ankit remarked, with Paro being the leader of a non-cooperation movement.

I started watching this show recently - doesn't Mets' have parents? How come she never calls them? Another Indian society clich?

anjudiva, firstly welcome to the forum and thank you for your comments on the previous page. I was away for the weekend and so have only just seen your posts. I must say that I completely and totally agree with you on this issue of rape, marital or otherwise, and on the part in this post that I have highlighted. This is exactly what my problem with Ekta stems from - as a woman, and someone with such power to wield at her hands, she should KNOW exactly what it is that her serials should be portraying; and she as well as us knows exactly how this situation should be handled. And yet, she uses this opp. to garner "audience participation", ergo TRPs.

Mets has a grandfather who was shown initially, but God only knows where he is now - another convenient disappearance to give the illusion that Paro is the only one who can help Mets now...

Hi anjudiva...you're right with your set of perceptions too 👏...there are still quite a lot of people in our country who'd prefer that the matter does'nt go to court! 😡...In fact, now that the KGGK creatives are conducting a poll to know people's opinions, they'd probably get to know the Indian mindset...😕 They're actually showing some of the opinions on the promos...I'm glad that 8/10 people want Parvati to go to court n get Pranay punished 😊 👏...while the remaining 2 want her to back off, with the opinoin that a house matter should be solved within the house!!?? 😡 🤢 😕 ...When a woman is raped the trauma she goes thru' cannot be described in words...the matter is a mere news to others, but for the victim n even her family its unbearable!! 😭 ...How then can some people wish that the matter is solved at home? ...such responses are shocking...but i'm glad that most people (including men) are in support of Parvati's decision to fight the case n wish to stand by her!..Thank God for that! 👏 😊

Really hope Parvati does'nt step back at any cost ..even if it means she has to fight all alone for what is right! 👏 👏..God is with her n there's no bigger support than that...is there? 😊

Cheers

Chandrika
