Chapter 55

She looked stunned as she saw him come out of the bathroom with only a pair of jeans on. Her eyes widened as they fell onto his well-built body.

He noticed her eyes glued onto his frame and he smirked…: kya hua Maithili? He questioned innocently.

She tore her eyes away from him and looked in the opposite direction…

M: kuch nahi…she muttered as she pretended to be fascinated by the blank TV screen in front of her. He grinned and came behind her.

A: kya hua? He whispered in her ear.

His nose caressed the back of her neck while she closed her eyes and breathed deeply.

"Kuch Kuch hota hai?" he grinned as he felt the heat rising in her cheeks…

A slight smile escaped her lips as he kissed her ear

The phone rang, breaking their silence…

A: now who is it?!?

Adi questioned annoyed, and leaned over Maithili to reach the phone. Maihtili picked up the phone but before answering the call she looked at him…

M: adi, if you put on your shirt…then maybe I can actually look at you!

Adi grinned…: kyu?…tum itni…sharma kyu rahi ho? You have seen all this before haven't you…last night

She rolled her eyes while he laughed went to wear a shirt

M: hello..

"its me! Didi!! Its me Tannu!"

M: Tannu!! How are you!

T: I'm fine di! Ab bhai ko phone do!

Maihtili rolled her eyes…; you're my sister, but you want to talk to my husband first?

Tannu laughed over the phone: kya kare di! Tradition toh nibhana padega na!

M: which tradition?

Adi leaned over Maithili and took the phone from her: hey Tannu! How are you!

T: bhaii!! HAPPY HOLIII!!! As always, I was the first one to wish you na!

A: not really adi laughed…your sister beat you this year

T: oh haaaa! I forgot! Now that you two are married, she must have wished you first na!

Maithili smiled and leaned agaist adi to listen in on the conversation…

T: so bhai..How are you!!! Didi didn't trouble you too much na?

M: I heard that! Maithli spoke into the speaker.

Adi grinned and replied…: no…you're just annoyed she beat you aren't you!

T: not fair ha bhaiya! You're supporting Metz di! Waise, how did she greet you? And how did you greet her?

A: she woke me up by putting colour on me…and…

T: and what!! Tannu asked eagerly

A: and I…filled her maang with colour

T: haiiii!! That's sooo sweeet! If only I had someone who loved me so much!

A: you do…adi spoke half grinning and half amused…Bharat hai na!

T: ugghh! Pleaseeee!!

Adi could imagine Tannu rolling her eyes and he laughed at this

T: that lallu can't even say I look pretty! Forget about him saying "I LOVE YOU!"

Maihtili's eyes widened…: Tannu! You love bharat! You never told me! How come you told this to adi???

She then looked at adi…

M: and you knew! But you didn't think of telling me! Its about my own sister…and you didn't tell me!

She got up annoyed and went into the bathroom, slamming the door.

T: oh…Tannu spoke in a low voice…

A: uh…bye then!

Tannu spoke meakly: sorry bhai!

A: hey twerp…it wasn't your fault! Bye then…love you…give bharat a whack on the head from me and give mom-dad loadzzz of love…bye..

Adi put down the phone and all Tannu was left to do was wonder… "twerp? Where did he get that from?"

"Maithili…don't you think maybe your over reacting a little bit?" adi spoke trying to convince Maithili

M: over reacting!! You call this over reacting! How would you feel if I didn't tell you that Bharat doesn't love Tannu! And that he loves a girl called sonia!

A: what!! He doesn't love Tannu! I'm gonna kill that b…

Maihtili placed her hand over his mouth to stop him from saying further.

Her anger still not reduced, she spoke: he does love Tannu…I just said this so you know how angry I feel!

A: ok baba! I'm really realy really sorry! Mujhe maaf kardo! He widened his eyes and gave her a cute puppy look.

She looked a little less angry and folded her arms.

Adi grinned and kissed her cheek..: I knew you would forgive me!

He turned to go, but Maithili held on to his arm…

Adi slowly turned round and faced her

M: aaj tumhe maaf kardiya! But never keep any secrets from me ever again…ok?

He looked at her and smiled…: promise!…placing a kiss on her forehead, he smiled at her

A: so…what do you want to do today?

M: well, we could go shopping, she thought pensively

Adi whined: noooo not that!

He pulled her in to a hug and caressed her neck…: I have an idea…How about we spend the whole day in the hotel room?

She couldn't see his expressions but she guessed him to be grinning broadly

M: ha ha…very funny! She spoke pulling away from him…

M: shopping it is then!

A: what?? When did we agree on that?

M: adi! We have to buy gifts for everyone! Besides, it'll be fun!

Adi raised his eyebrow…: fun??

He saw the disappointed look on her face and gave in..: ok fineeeeeeeee

"thank you!" she excitedly hugged him and kissed his cheek

"I'll get ready!"

He smiled as she went…

PS...i've left a hint in this chapter of what could ruin their relationship...lol see if you can spot it😉

that was fantastic n i got ur hint. i no it is da part where he keeps a secret dat tannu lvs barrat. so 'keepin secrets' could b da hint . right!!!! ny ways do con asap n dont make ny confusion between dem ( dey jus relisd der lv 😳 so keep it goin!) 👏
