Well since the article that Gayathri is coming back in this serial it is not her body in the trunk and my guess is still Anisha. She must be the real heiress to Mehra's wealth and hence Shikar killed her. The leap is after 18 years and the body is supposed to be 16 years old so it could be that she had a 2 year old baby whose sock has been found.

anisha might have been an illigitimate daughter of suyesh and stood to inherit some property and thats whu shikhar killed her and mayuri and adi was a witness to this thats why adi is scared od knives
