Chapter 2
She was surprised at the ease in which she could talk to Adi, and how comfortable she was. She put it down to the fact that she wasnt attracted to him....aithough he did have the deepest dark black eyes in which you could drown in...............................
" Stop!" She thought to herself and tried to focus on the conversation on the table.
"Mets-You dont mind if I call you Mets?" Adi asked.
"No thats fine, " She replied.
"So, I was wondering-would you like to dance?"
"Id love to Adi"
Adi held out his hand for her and she took it, only pausing for a millisecond. They walked onto the dance floor hand in hand. He grabbed her waist and held it tight, holding her close to him while the other hand firmly closed round her other hand.
Her eyes widened and she looked at him in surprise.
"What?" He whispered in her ears, breathing on her neck, " You didnt think I noticed that you only started talking to me because your toad face 'friend' was looking at us?"
She smiled at him "Look would you play along-just pretend that your intrested in me
?
Maybe if some one else shows an intrerest that he might reliase what he's missing out on."
He smirked and pulled her tighter in his grip around her waist, and whispered softly "What makes you think Im pretending? Maybe I am intrested in you......."
She glanced up, looking at him unsure than smiled..........."Prem has told me all about you Mr.Mehra and your reputation preceeds you...........Look Ive been honsent and asked you to do a friend a favour But Im not that kind of girl."
They swayed to the music, their bodies moving together as once......
"What kind of girl is that then?" He asked
"The ones that you take home....." She tiptoed so she could whisper in his ear, "I will not be another notch on your bedpost......Im different! and anyway Im not even attracted to you!"
The music stopped and all Adi could see was a beautiful looking girl in his arms with a firece look in her eyes.....He grinned and let her go and they walked to their table.
"Fine..I'll help you out, I'll pretend to be your boyfriend...anyways the bestman and the bridesmaid always end up together."
She looked at him...."Thanks" She held out her hand "Friends?"
"Friends" He said shaking her hand and then pulling her close to him...."During this little act of ours, make sure you keep your feelings under control because the more time you spend with me the more you are going to find me irrestiable!"
She struggled to free herself from his grip and she stared up at him into those eyes.........She stopped struggling and for what seemed like a whole lifetime they stared into each others eyes and suddenly he let her go.
"See....my magic has started to work already!" He laughed while walking off.
Mets fumed and sat down, "That Adi!" She thought to herself.......She grinned as she saw what he had left on the table for her. A note with his number and a message.
My wooing of you starts in 2 days time-my birthday party. I'll call you tonight to discuss our plan of action. x
She glanced up and saw Adi starting at her with what she could only describe with amusement. He smiled and raised his glass towards her and winked at her.
He thought to himself " She is different, and she is her own person....and she is beautiful...." She smiled back.
He was looking forward to speaking to her tonight.......and seeing her again.
He was surprised that a girl was immune to his charms and he found it refreshing. There was an honsentness about Mets that he found enduring. She certainly was different! He thought back to a moment ago when he had grabbed her and had stared into her eyes. It was like time had stood still.............That had never happened before.....
She sat there watching him...........little knowing that he was thinking the samr thing she was...................
That night after the wedding...............
The phone rang and she picked it up "Hello?"
"Hey sweetheart, its me...............Adi"
"Hey, How are you?"
"Im fine...cold.....Im outside your house...arent you going to let me in?"
"What????" She exclaimed. "What are you doing outside my house?????"
"Im meeting my girlfriend...Let me in"
She hung up the phone and rushed to the door. She opened it and sure enough there he was, a bunch of red roses in one hand and his phone in the other.

I know its not great as the other fanfictions but Im sure I will get better with practice.....
