@TM, since u claim to know all the members of this forum since beginning, I hope u have seen me as regular member here n I haven't been here since the wedding episodes n I have given the exact same reason for my absence that I don't want to spoil the fun of those who r still enjoying the show. So I hope I haven't offended you, though I also support the members who r expressing their negative comments since they too have a right to express what they feel. Since I also belong to the category of viewers who find Sona's behaviour parvatishly mahaan, I would like to reason it out.
First n foremost, Sona has this nature of poking her nose into other's business which irritates me to the core. She was always like that, e.g. wardrobe malfunction track, it kind of irritated me back then too. But then, the interference used to be subtle. It used to be once in a while incident. The show wasn't as high on drama n emotions forever. It used to have more of light moments. So the negative points < positive points. Hence people kind of accepted her like that n ignored what they didn't like. But now, her interference has grown to another level. In my opinion, even if she's family, she's not entitled to knowing every secret of the family. If others want to share it with her, they'll do. Otherwise she should mind her own business. Tanya too is a daughter in law of the same family, much before sonakshi. Still, she doesn't interferes in everybody's matters, she doesn't go overboard with this is my family, I'll keep it together n all that. See, veena has always kept this family together n she's always like my family is this for me n I'll do that for my family bla bla bla which kinda irritates at times. Nishi too has done a big thing to keep the same family together, but she never keeps talking about it, so her goodness doesn't irritate u. Same is the case with Sona. Even if she's striving for the happiness of family, she can do it without hampering the private space of the family members. She can get her space in the family with time. On their wedding day itself, Rohit had told her that it's a huge family, as much as they stay together, giving them their personal space is important too to keep the relationships good, u don't have to stand true to everyone's expectations. Sona can't understand this even now, that's what makes her parvati...when she wants to unnecessarily burden herself with the responsibilities of the whole world. Even now she's hiding from Rohit that somebody has listened their conversation. Again she'll wear detective's glasses n do what she likes without taking him into confidence.
Second thing is, u expect something specific from a certain show. Trust me, I watch every episode of kzk2 too. There I don't get annoyed by similar behaviour of prerna because I know I m going to get this only. But khkt had a different standard, it has set its own standards really high, though this was the nature of Sona always, she was different before their marriage, she would share things with Rohit, she wouldn't take the bulls*it of others for any reason. That's what made her lovable which she isn't since the wedding episodes. Sona's character has taken a drastic turn since wedding track, even u would agree.
Third thing is her dialogues. Like Rohit, even though I don't agree with her thought process, I do understand her reasoning behind every action. I understand her impulse. But they give her way too dramatic dialogues. Like the ones she said to suman in the pay cheque scene, the ones she said while talking with Rohit about her resignation, her reasons for wearing a saree, etc. Those cringy dialogues take away the essence of the scene n make it look parvatish.
Fourth, her looks. I don't say wearing a saree is out of fashion, behenji types etc. But tell me, is it realistic or practically possible? Which actress wears a saree 24*7? Forget actress, any xyz working girl staying in mumbai, that too in an area like Malabar hills? Is it comfortable to run around the house n do all the chores like an adarsh bahu in a saree n heavy jhumkas? The sarees r not trendy either...rather the blouses. What r those close neck full sleeves blouses these days making her look so old? As a TV actress as the female lead of this show, I expected a variety of outfits for her n what I m getting is a typecasted sarees which is parvatish for me. (I do not expect sexy short dresses)
And lastly, the acting of dipika. I was amazed to see her as a bubbly Sona but she's back in her simar mode...over dramatic n that shrieky voice...it's too much melodrama!
And something or the other out of this is happening in every episode...n that makes it whole lot of parvati drama!!
