I'm not introducing myself anymore after my two other topics: HERE and HERE you know me now...😆...
After today's episode this topic came to mind.
Let's just say I'm more into analysis than criticism (to criticize) of the characters so I'm pushing a little further than what should be done. But I have a mind like that, so don't hesitate to tell me if it bothers you ^^
Today as the title says "privacy" is not a concept that exists in KKIS!
AnuGun arrived at the hotel as a married couple, they feel free to live their love in the open. Gungun only wants to shout from the rooftops that Anubav is hers, he is her husband, the man of her life... BUT!
They know they can't do that (she is mistaken for Akriti, in the end she feels bad...) because after all they are in a situation that may be clear to them, but that the world will not accept easily. Their moment was so innocent, we see their happiness, the desire they have to be together against all odds... BUT!
Let's start the subject.
What is a private life?
Here I have the impression that nobody lives for themselves, but according to what the grandparents, the parents decide (you know it or not, but I don't like this concept of living for the family).
It has become a tradition, what the grown-ups decide the little ones have to do, and so on, so in the end, who are we living for?
We saw the grandfather the tyrant who as always, gives Akriti reason to go and spy on Anu because supposedly it's her fault that she suspects him. Uncle said something sensible, but who listened to him? NO ONE!
So if I understand correctly.
What the grandfather decides is the law, from the beginning he's been a bully in the form of "the welfare of the family" (oh grandpa be quiet, everything that comes out of your mouth is bullshit...), but in reality he's selfish, he shapes everyone around him to what he wants. Since when does he have the infused science? This character is the one I hate the most (even Akriti is not the first one in my eyes), he is harmful!
The family gives Akriti reason for everything because she has the label of Anu's "wife"? Just nonsense! Why don't the other daughters-in-law get the same treatment? (Well, again, it's deliberate, it needs drama...) But it's still abusive.
Anubav is always tracked. They call his work to find out where he is, what he is doing. So at work he is labelled as a man whose family does not trust him. So he can be fired for that, but let's say the writers are not going to push that far... But in real life, what company is going to accept that?
Anubav said it's his life, he'll make the decisions he wants, but as livetodream257 said in his post here.
Despite this, Anubav is attached to his family, it is his Achilles heel. Yesterday he said that he hopes his family will not reject him when the truth comes out.
Yes it's understandable, it's his family, he has duties towards them, but he also has duties towards his wife. So we've already seen him split over this.
But when the time comes to take a stand, we know (or we'd like) that he'll be on Gungun's side, but we'll end up in sacrifice mode again...
So nobody will think about Anu's happiness, but what people will say, what will happen to the family image. In the end, who are you living for?
There is a limit to sacrifice!
So let's go back to the word 'privacy'!
From the beginning, everyone has been sticking their nose into each other's lives.
Anu, where have you been?
Anu, I called your work and they said you were not there!
Anu what were you doing in that restaurant?
Anu why didn't you answer your phone?
OMG, is he allowed to breathe?
Akriti being a detective, she is everywhere. In her mother's life, in Gungun's life (by the way, even if she didn't have doubts about Anu, she has a complex about Gungun that just makes her look awful)!
To conclude,
Let's move on to happiness...
There is one thing I would say, even if we say that family is our identity and that love completes us, I still think there has to be a balance.
Yes it's a show, but it's well said that fiction usually reflects reality.
I'm sick of characters sacrificing themselves in the name of family happiness.
We're human so we're selfish by nature, so if we want to show something, we have to be fair, so we have to fight for what's "right".
Since when is fighting for happiness wrong? (because he manages to show that the protagonist's choice can be bad... By making the family suffer...)!
- The grandfather fights (according to him) for his family to be happy by giving in to Maya's threats, but at the expense of Anu's true happiness.
- Akriti is fighting (according to her) for her happiness in her marriage, but again at the expense of what Anu wants, but here she is the one who brought her sentence to her door by forcing fate.
- Ronnie is fighting (according to him) for his happiness, because money is his comfort, he doesn't want to move a finger to live, so he will destroy Gungun's.
- Maya is fighting (according to her) for her happiness, but in fact it is her social image, to the detriment of her daughter's happiness.
AnuGun is fighting for their happiness, because that's where their life is.
Who is right?
