Nowadays we live in nuclear families, husband wife kids, usually away from the native town. It is said that family values are diminishing with time. Old people are forced to stay in old age homes.

I have seen the original Bengali version of KKIS where Anubhav is in such a cute joint family where the boundaries created not by Bade papa but by himself. It’s a show which made me think joint families can be nice too. No need to have vamps in the family. I still remember initial episodes of KKIS where Anubhav sings a song Kabhi Kabhi and another very cute song during Khushi’s marriage and how during Kanyadan everyone did Kanyadan of Khushi. When Goli bua said she is not Khushi’s parent everyone said she indeed is parent of Anu, Khushi, etc. And Anubhav explained Kanyadan so sweetly to Gungun.

Dr Riddhesh wanted Gungun to get this love. Where everyone love each other equally.

The KKIS story drastically changed when Dr Maya came. In Bengali version the story is still cute. Their Dr Maya never did such drama, and Dr Riddhesh didn’t die.

In KKIS we can see that thr family bond Kulsheshtras had was too much vulnerable. It depended on Adarsh and those moral poetries Bade Papa used to say. No one has no freedom and everyone is ok with that because they have the prejudice that if their family bond is broken they will not have any existence. Anubhav was the most educated and he actually started earning money that was beyond their limit. May be that’s why Bade papa knew Anubhav should never find out about the world where you can have a private life, spend your own money.

Today Anubhav was able to buy plane tickets for him and his wife, he could afford a stay in a five star hotel. This Bade papa never wanted Anubhav to know.

I know many of the KKIS viewers think that Akriti is Anubhav’s wife. But in ITV sindoor marriage is considered to be real marriage. So today’s Anugun balcony scene had no EMA in it.

The story is super messed up with full of evil villains whose happiness lies in giving Anugun pain.

Yes we have seen Gungun, she got the concept about marriage, love, sacrifice from her bua and father. She is not selfish like Maya but submissive like Garima Bua.

So as you said no matter how strongly Anubhav will want to fight with Aakriti, his family- it will be Gungun who will stop him. She grew up in a broken family. She will never want to break Anubhav’s family.

Today we saw so much happiness Anugun shared, they did look like a couple who understands each other. Their intimacy was not an accident but it was natural. We are in 2022- earlier in serials intimacy used to happen after one year of marriage. If the couple is already in love no need to wait I guess.

Some viewers have doubt about when did Anugun fell in love? All suddenly started with sindoor marriage. It’s not true. Just rewatch the old episodes.
Yes Anugun had their banters but it was not hatred. Just watch the day when Gungun had fever and Anubhav came to see her “main nahi khilata to tum khati bhi nahi” it started from there only; or the ice cream date, which was very matured.

What you say makes sense.

Gungun's father wanted his daughter to have a family she could rely on, as he couldn't give her one. (I haven't seen the Bengali version, I'll google it if I find it).

Who Anubav's real wife is we know, but they still made sure he had "two wives" so he will always have different opinions of who has more rights.

Mentalities evolve, I know there are parents who don't like their child to see the "world" because they haven't experienced it, but time doesn't stand still, it has to evolve.

They did send Anubav to school for a purpose, didn't they? Even if he's the 'richest' in the family, it must be a point of pride and not something 'bad'.

They like drama too much, the bad guys win too often, for them it's entertaining...

Gungun is dhokebaaz and insulted whole family.

In today' episode Anubhav was saying to Gungun that we couldn't understand each other back then.

Does he think that Gungun is innocent and not responsible or involved in insulting his family ?Did his opinion about her change now?How ?

I think more in the sense that he couldn't understand Gungun.

He had formed an image of her and didn't really look into it.

So that created some misunderstandings. But he knows that Maya is responsible, that's why he hates her.

OMG ReadLo, this is such beautiful analysis. I agree with the others, you totally should write fanfic for us. There were several amazing writers who started writing AnuGun fanfic, but then everything went downhill with the AnuKriti marriage, and we've been starved of good stories since. So please, please pretty please - do write for us!

I've grown up in a joint family myself - one that thankfully was far different from the Krazy Ks on this show. Which is why I got drawn to KKIS initially. One of my uncles, who never got married, actually did my sister's kanyadaan. So that Khushi asking Goli bua to do her kanyadaan was sweet for me...

Yes you don't get as much privacy in a joint family setting as you do in a nuclear family. A lot more people have a "need-to-know" status if you know what I mean but I've never seen this total lack of autonomy that they show on KKIS! No one shoved their decisions on me our my cousins. My mom and my aunts were as much a part of the decision-making as the men. But I guess they had to pick one kind of joint family for the show, and then kept twisting the knife until the concept of joint family just started bleeding.

Joint families that are mature, forgiving, and inclusive still work. If anything, they can be a key safety net for the kids as they grow, evolve, and learn to fly on their own and build their own happy nests. Not obsessively controlling or stifling like the Ks!

I think AnuGun are slowly ripening for that kind of flight. Not saying the makers will let that happen, but Anubhav has been gradually moving toward that direction in the last few weeks. And this guy speaks his mind without hesitation, and is stubborn to the core (I'm actually counting on that stubbornness to keep AnuGun together when Gungun tries to push him away). All danger signs for the K elders. They will blme Gungun of course, yet not see why the raja beta is behaving the way he is. They can tie him to Akriti's bedpost, but still not cage his heart. Not sure they'd care though...
