Yug was almost leaning on bed, when he heard knock on door. "Kaun hain?" he asked and his heartbeat paused for while when he saw kali entering his room wih glass of water in her hand. Smile spreadd his face when he catch glimpse of her. It felt like ages I havent seen her. "Yug kaise ho aap" he expected she will ask it. But soon he realized she didnt even put glance at him. She put down a glass on table and engrossed herself in cleaning of broken glass. He could not take her
ignorance anymore. "Kali kya baat hain?" he asked. She didnt reply. "Kali main kucch pucch raha hoon tumse!" he again said
in little bit higher tone. But she ignored this as well. "Kali please aise behave mat karo; mujhe takleef hoti hain" he said in pleading tone. "Dekhiye Mr. Yug Chaudhary hum apna yaha kaam kar rahe hain! Hum nahi chahate koi humein aapse baat karate huye dekh le aur hum pe iljam lagaya jaaye. Kisike pati ke churane ki saazish kar rahe hain hum. Isliye behtar hain hum baat na karein" Her reply almost shocked him. He did not expect Kali will give such rude reply to him ever. "Mr. Yug Chaudhary" hearing his name like this that too from Kali; he felt like someone has thrown him from big cliff. "Ahh!!" Kali screamed. Piece of glass plunged into her hand and she panicked. "Kya karti ho tum. Sambhalke!" he almost got up from bed and took her hand in his hand. But Kali snatched it back. "Hum dekh lege! Hum aapki patni nahi hain jo aap haath pakad ke jakham thik kar denge!" She looked at him with hurtful eyes and simply walked out of room. Yug stood speechless.
As she walked out of room, Gauri was there smiling with joy. "Kya hua kaali? Ohh chot lag gayi? Ab adat daal do aisi chote khane ki. Ek nahi hazar aise dard denge tumhe. Yug ko humse chinane ki koshish ki thi na tumne. Kya hua? Na ghar ki rahi na ghat ki. Ab humare aur yug ke beech main aane ki koshish bhi mat karna. Warna itana bura hashra karenge ki soch bhi nahi paogi."
Gauri walked into room and horrified to see scene before. "Yug chod do usse" she asked yug trying to snatch piece of broken glass from his hand. "Yug khun beh raha hain tumhare haath se, plz chod do usse". She again told him unable to snatch that piece from his hand. But Yug was firm not to leave it. Kali's words, her pain thats what he could see right now. Daadi rushed to his room hearing Gauri's scream. "Kya hua???" Daadi too looked horrified looking at Yug. Yug chod do usse. Finally she managed to remove that piece from Yug's hand.
"Kitana khun bah gaya andaza bhi hain kuchh!" .. she cared for Yug and shouted to Gauri to bring first aid box. Gauri immediately brought it and about to put it but daadi asked her stop and snatch first aid box from her hand. Gauri said "Hum patni hain Yug ki itana to kar sakte hain na..." looking angry glance to daadi. "Accha patni ho issliye itana kand karti ho, ki jab bhi humare pote ke saath hoti to kuchh bura ho hi jaata hain! Ab jyada bakwaas na karo jao uss kaala teeka ko bulake
lao". Daadi ordered. Gauri unwillingly left room to call Kali.
Kali was in her room putting ointment in her hand when Gauri entered and gave her message of daadi. Kali came to Yug's room
and shocked to see bleeding hand of Yug. Yug put glance at her indicating more she hurts herself he will equally hurt himself.
"Ayee ladki, khun bah raha hain isske haath se, patti bandh do jaldi!".. Gauri looked at Daadi in shock. Before Gauri could say anything Daadi grabbed her hand and pulled her out of room saying she wants to talk to her.
Kali quickly grabbed first aid box as she could not see bloood running through his hand. She held his hand in her palm. Quickly clean blood nearby and put ointment on his wound. Tears rolled through her eyes understanding how much painful for him this would be. But Yug stood steadily. Probably this pain was less compared to pain of her ignorance towards him."Mr. Yug Chaudhary" he felt like someone stole his soul.
This time they looked at each other, holding hands with unspoken words, pain in eyes, unconditional love in heart.
Daadi dragged Gauri outside and made her stood like culprit in front of her. "Yeh kya tareeka hain. Bahu hain hum aapki. Yug ki patni hain. Aisa behave karate hain aapke khandan main?" Gauri angrily asked Daadi. "Jyada bakwaas na karo. Yeh Chaudhary khandan ki bahu, yug ki patni banake khadi ho na.. sab humari meherbani hain.. Isliye apni aukat main
raho.. Pehle hi tumhare wajah se Yug maut ke mooh se bach ke aaya hain. Ab agar ek aur kharoch bhi aayi na humare pote ko.. Bahar fikava denge tumhe... Waise bhi kitana fikar hain wo dekh liya... Humara pota yaha bimaar hain ghar main aur tum parlour main apna mooh putwane gayi thi. Humare saamne yeh acchi patni banane ka natak mat karna.. Tumhari aukat kya hain yeh hum acche se jaanate hain... Aur Yug se door hi rahna jab tak hum nahi batate" Gauri shocked at daadi's
words. "Pehle grahshanti kar wayenge apne pote ki.. kya karein tumhare jaise patni jo hain usaki nasib main.. Grahashanti hone
tak aas paas bhi mat bhatkana Yug ke.. samaz gayi.." Daadi warned Gauri. Gauri was angry again at Daadi.
"Kali yeh kya rahi ho tum" Manjiri was surprised when Kali informed her about everything. "Kali agar aap aise haar manoge to kaise
hoga? Ishwar bhi usiki sahayata karte hain jo khud ki sahayata karna jaanta hain." Manjiri tried to boost her confidence knowing
how much wrong Kali's decision is. She knew probably; the day Kali will give up her life would become more hell. "Manji ma, hum main
aur takat nahi hain... Nahi ladh sakte hum ab aur.. Kitani baar aur agnipariksha de hum.. kitani baar apni sacchai saabit karein??
Hum bhi insaan hain manji maa... takleeef hoti hain yug ka hum pe avishwas dekh ke. pyaar karte hain na wo hum se, fir kyun bharosa
nahi kar sakte?" Manji didnt had answer to her question. "Kali Yug ke aakhon ke saamne jhut ka ek parda racha gaya hain... Jab tak
ye parda nahi girta unke liye bhi bahut mushkil hain aape ke sach ko dekhana" Manjiri tried to change her mind. "Manji maa, nahi
girana chahate ab hum koi parda... agar hum sacche hain, humara pyaar saccha hain.. to ye parda humare raamji khud girayenge.
Humein poora bharosa hain apne raamji pe.. wo humari sacchai ka saath zarur denge"... Manjiri wanted to convince Kali more but she
understood she tired of situation around her. This time she could not talk to Yug even due to his ill health. "Raamji, please humari
bacchi ki raksha karna. Madad karna usaki." All that Manji could do is pray to ramji for Kali.
