Kaajjal is taking slow and steady steps down the stairs and Dev's eyes are locked in her eyes. NT is looking at kaajjal with love in her eyes and praises in her heart for having such a beautiful daughter-in-law. Kaajjal's papa has love and contentment in his eyes. Nandani in smilling and looking at kaajjal with appreciation. But what about Kaajjal, her mind is playing havocs to her senses. She is stressed out, worried and confused.
Dev is lost in the eyes of his princess, and right at that moment her realizes something is wrong. He senses that tension in kaajjal and gets worried. He can immediately recognize something is wrong. After all he loves her so much that their eyes speak. He can sense that the love of his life is tensed about something, and right then he feels a hand on his shoulder, its Karan, "Where were you, I had been trying to call you for soo long. I was talking to you on phone and u disconnected." And there .… dev realizes, what phone, who disconnected. He looks at karan with a puzzled look, "when did u call," and karan goes, "wah wah, lost in your bulbul soo much that u forgot ur partner." And right there Dev realizes, he gave his jacket to kaajjala nd the cell was in it. O GOSH!!! Is that why kaajjal is giving me these strange looks, is that whats bothering kaajjal, is it that once again kaajjal doubts me. And he moves his fingers in his hair and looks away frustratingly. He asks karan what did u say, and tell dev what he said …. Damnit ….. he walks away from karan and starts walking towards kaajjal. He wants to talk to kaajjal, he wants to clearify it, he can sense it in her that something is wrong, and he has to talk to his love and give her this peace of mind, but its too late. Kaajjal is already sitting in the mandap and the prist is calling for Dev. Oh I want to talk to her before this marriage happens, I have to touch her to make her believe I am Dev, I don't want her to marry me with doubts in her mind. O God what shall I do. "comeon Dev, panditji is waiting for you" NT calls for him. And he has no other option that to silently move up and sit next to the one person he has loved sooo intensely and deeply. The one person who went beyond imagination to get his love back, the one person who changed destiny to get Dev back, one person who has loved me more than anyone is this whole wide world. And than the pandit starts the mantars. With every mantar, panditji gives an explanation of that mantar, and explains them the meaning of each phera.
First phera. With God as our guide, let us take the first step to live with honour and respect.
Dev promises in his heart, kaajjal I will respect you and honor you all my life and kaajjal thinks in her heart, I am marrying him with a belief that he is my Dev, and so I will take this vows for Dev, and I promise Dev, I will respect you all my life and honor you and your love till eternity.
Second phera: Let us be happy and enjoy life. Let us walk together so we grow together in strength.
Dev Promises in his heart, Kaajjal, I will give you every happiness in the world, and I will love you till eternity. With you I will spend the days of my life and will take every step with you and will grow old with you. you and your love are my only strength. Kaajjal promises in her heart to Dev, Dev I will love you and cherish you all my life and I promise to love you only. I will give you every happiness possible in this life and thereafter.
Third phera: let us share joys and pains together
with this dev promises, kaajjal your every pain is mine and my every happiness is yours. I will keep you safe in my heart and will never let any bad thing come close to you. You are mine and I will protect you, and love you for as long as i may live. I promise to love you forever my love, I promise. And kaajjal promises to Dev, I promise to be ur shadow in happiness and in distress and I promise to love you forever Dev. meri har khushi tum say, tum ho tu main hoon, warna mera koee wajood nahi.
And the remaining vows and shown in silence and the music starts playing in the background.

And during the song they complete their phera's. pandit ji asks dev to fill dulhan's mang, and dev picks up the sindoor, and moves his fingers towards her forehead, once again there eyes lock, and at that one moment, kaajjal is lost in them. How can he not be my Dev, o he is my Dev, only my dev can look at me with such love and passion. O Dev I love you, I love you. And dev silently but assuringly fills her mang. The panditji then tells him to put mangalsutar in dulhan's neck and dev picks it up, and comes close to kaajjal, that one electrifying moment, when dev looks at her and moves his hands up towards her neck to put the mangalsutar on, his fingers touched her neck, and she is lost in the warmth of those fingers, she is completely mesmerized. Thousand thoughts crossed her mind at that one moment. She never imagined, these saath pheras, this sindoor and this mangalsutar can change a girl's life so dramatically. All of the sudden she wants to loose her self in Dev's arms; she looks at him and finds him looking at her while tying the mangalsutar and at that one moment, it feels as if the world has stopped. As if no one else exists, and its only dev and kaajjal, and the remaining part of the song starts playing in the background again, depicting what dev is thinking for kaajjala nd what kaajjal wants to give to her Dev.

Their eyes lock, they are lost in each other, in a world they both have created in their dreams, and they both want to share with each other. And then they hear panditji, "I now pronounce you husband and wife." And these words came as a shock to kaajjal. She never thought these words can be sooo powerful. For now she had attended others marriages and never thought how these words can impact a girl and can change her life for ever, but in her heart she knows she has to keep up her barriers, for many questions need answer before any further decisions are made.
