I don't understand the whole room changing fiasco and why Jyoti has to stay in a store room. Did they all of a sudden forget they have another room in the house, Sudha's old bedroom. She had her own room outside(?) the house by the veranda or something like that. Why doesn't Jyoti just move in there. Why are they being so dumb and showing that Jyoti has to suffer physically when pregnant as well. I mean come on and give the poor girl a break. Also please someone knock some sense into Padma the Bhuki-laalchi-maa

That's something I have been wondering as well. Sudha had that room to herself on the periphery of their home, where she could exit whenever she wanted whenever she became Devika. Why doesn't Jyoti simply take that room, and solve that problem? Besides, how does Jyoti even get the store room - wouldn't it be needed simply for Poonam's gazillion suitcases?

Besides, why couldn't Dadi, who is also being affected by this move, just shoot down this agreement, and tell Poonam and Jyoti to both be back where they were?

You know what else they could do?

Send dadi and Sushma back to the village.

Or Jyoti could sleep in the sitting room. Dadi used to sleep there before (when she caught Devika coming into the house), im sure it's much more airy and open than a dusty store-room

it's obvious that the cv's think we're stupid and have short term memories. sudha's room seems to have moved out with sudha.

but sushma is beginning to annoy me again. she needs to stop being so selfish since she isn't a baby anymore. if she's old enough to make the decision of marrying some deranged loser all on her own then she's old enough to understand that it's not always about her. sometimes you do need to make sacrifices for the ones you love and what's a bedroom anyway? if she carries on the way she is, she'll soon hear from poonam that being a married woman, she shouldn't really be at her maayka anyway. i know it's a horrible thing to say and nobody has a right to but poonam seems to have very little people skills and decency and will most probably say it - in front of padma.

Yeah, given how Sushma used to grovel before Brij, I wonder why she can't be as accomodative to her bhabi, who's her bhabi from her own bro, not a step-bro (since Sushma was so into the step relationship, like Padma still is)

And forget the room - she couldn't even compromise on the sari. Had she simply respected Poonam's sentiments here and picked a different one, Poonam may not have minded it so much, and this fiasco could have been averted.
