February 22, 2010 Written Update

The marriage continues on with Jyoti present there. On their arrival home, Sudha-Sushma tell Jyoti to ask nek from Deepu, but Padma tells Jyoti to go get the thali ready instead. Jyoti goes and sees that the thali is already ready, and looks back to see Padma getting Sushma to ask nek instead. Deepu-Poonam do all the usual customs and then go to their room, which is flooded with Poonam's suitcases of clothes and jewelry. Deepu is confused and Poonam worriedly tells him that there are even more at her house and she didn't know this room was so small.

Poonam asks Deepu the same question that she asked him before marriage, whether or not he can be a good husband and put her first before even Jyoti… esp since at the mandap today it seemed like he didn't consider Poonam's feelings when almost calling off the marriage. Deepu says nothing but Jyoti comes there and says that of course Poonam will always be first for him. She tells Deepu to make sure Poonam feels comfortable and tells Poonam that just because new relationships are made doesn't mean old ones should be forgotten.

Deepu runs to Jyotis room asking how he can ever put Poonam ahead of his family, and Jyoti tries to make him understand from her POV. She gives him anklets to gift Poonam. The next morning, Poonam wakes up and goes to talk to Jyoti in the kitchen. Sushma is also there. Poonam asks if its possible she and Deepu cud move into Jyoti and Sushma's room since it is bigger and she is really feeling uncomfortable in such a small room. Jyoti is wordless at first but then agrees. Poonam happily goes off to tell Deepu. Sushma asks Jyoti how she could agree without even consulting her. End.
