Im kinda glad the Longshree is back
I thought that with Longshree disappearing to her village, Sushma would have to be hired as a maid at the Vashisht house
I actually got this feeling last episode when they just rushed through the whole arresting and recovery and stuff, but thank god Longshree is back and no Sushma

Even if Longshree was gone, Jyoti has just been made the mistress of the house, and there's no way she'd agree to Sushma being hired as a maid. Two reasons - one that Sushma is her sister, and the other is that Sushma is so lousy a cook (as evident from the last time she tried it) that she'd just not qualify. Despite how eager Jyoti is at her maakya to support Sushma, fact remains that she doesn't want any of her in-laws to know about even her, let alone Brij, or she'd be exposed as a liar in front of Pankaj. Therefore, Longshree or no Longshree, Jyoti would sooner do all the work herself than allow Sushma to even surface there. So that risk doesn't exist.

So I'm not happy that Longshree is still there. I believe in being gracious w/ people like maids, servants and other support people, but Longshree was wayyyyyy too big for her boots. Since when is it the role of a servant to spy on one of your mistresses on behalf of another, or make demeaning comments? When Jyoti once asked her to get certain types of mithais, Longshree asked her whether they were diabetic, and when Kalpana and her mom came to take Jyoti & Pankaj after their return, she made another demeaning remark about Jyoti's maakya, which even cm couldn't take. Like Sushma, this is another woman who's been given a lease when she hardly deserves it.

I do wish she goes before too long, that cm returns and they hire new people.

Mee too... i was so glad to see longshree back.. But like Vrisha said, longshree doesn't deserve the support the Vashshists are giving her. Although the only silver lining in this is that cuz longshree is back, the possibility of Sushma as the new maid is out. And even if Jyoti wudn't like Sushma as a maid in her house, there is very little she cud do to stop it, since she has never mentioned to anyone abt having another sister named Sushma. Well, its good that's not going to happen now.. atleast i hope so.

Since Jyoti has just been given the keys and named the 'captain of the ship' by her in-laws, she can stop anything, particularly when it comes to determining who gets to work in the house. As it is, Sushma has little to recommend her, so it's not like people will like Sushma's cooking or cleaning and Jyoti will have to override them: a mere test of Sushma's work and she'd be rejected, just like in the case where she pretended to be recommended by someone. The fact that Jyoti never mentioned that Sushma is her sister prevents her from helping Sushma, but not from hindering her.

C'mon - other than Sushma and Longshree, there are no other maids available in Udaipur? Particularly for a rich family that's presumably not paying minimum wage?

I knew Sushma would end up working for Jyoti
Virsha, I totally agree with you, is there only onehouse in Udaypur that needs a maid? And only one girl in all ofUdaypur that Longhsree found?
So typical

Yep, saw it just now. Geez, for a show that claims to be grounded on real life events, they really simulate those cheezy movies better - w/ the number of co-incidences they come up with. One or two, I can take, such as Uday just happening to be near where Sudha was when she was kidnapped, but this one was too much.

At any rate, the promos of Oct 20 show Jyoti dragging Sushma out of Brij's, and so I don't think she'd last in this household either too long. Also, CM is back, and her tolerance for these deviations from the norm that Sushma is likely to come out with is NIL.
Also I have a feeling that the moment she finds out that Jyoti is her mistress, Sushma will instantly resign and go elsewhere - no matter how desperate she is, she'll refuse to humiliate herself in front of Jyoti: front of anyone else is okay. Given that, I expect that before Diwali, Sushma will be out of there, and next week, Jyoti will probably drag her back to her maakya, since Sushma would no longer be able to deny that Brij isn't abusing her (more on that elsewhere).

Although at one level, it was funny seeing Sushma very carefully serving tea to Longshree. Remember at the Ganesh Chaturthy aftermath when Padma told KK that the Vashisths friends saw them as servants? They didn't do that for Jyoti or Sudha, but they'd sure have been right about her, and now Sushma. Somehow, a more sadistic part of me is disappointed that Longshree can't test Padma on her domestic skills. 😆😆😆
