sudha is shown as a very homely gal n dey r not rich either but i dont understand one thing when sudha turn into devika she wears all these western dresses and puts on makeup....frm where she gets all these stuff
and when she turns into sudha again doesnt she feel weird seeing all the makeup and dresses?
is dis clarified in the show or its a blooper?😕

An explanation for this from the show is called for.

At any rate, I think the clothes Sudha wears are from Sushma's acting classes - there, she had some such clothes. In a past episode, they showed those clothes on the floor and Jyoti seeing them, and thinking that was from Sushma's rehearsal. Since Sushma left the house w/o taking anything, Devika felt at liberty to make use of them.

That said, some of the clothes - like the brown bearskin dress w/ the black polka dots - really could use some explaining.

thanks for the explanation...
but i thought the family is very conservative so how come dey allowed sushma to wear those clothes????n i have always seen sushma wearing salwar kammej in the serial .. have dey ever showed sushma wearing them?

Those weren't Sushma's normal clothes - they were only her acting make-up clothes. Since she went to (presumably) an English medium school, she had acting classes, and in that, this wardrobe might have been included, or a requirement.

Also, I know that Dadi frowned upon such clothes, but was the same true about either KK or Padma?

i guess sushma is padma's own daughter so maybe she never had any probs wid it..
