I don't think the laughter is abt the idea of a young person going on a pilgrimage. It is cause they hv not shown any of the logical steps like her needing the support of her dad n maybe meeting him in the village. Instead they (the cv) just took the first easy idea out. She had after-all refused to leave Delhi without Prithvi. They shld have atleast made it a bit more practical n made it that dadima n Meera hv gone together. U don't just ainvi send someone off alone when so much is happening in their lives. It's like what happened earlier - Meera dealing alone with cops. The post in my opinion is laughing at the CVs lack of imagination.
