Note:I know he'll kill me if he knows I wrote this..But I would like to say I would not have been able to write this chapter without my husband's help,whom I keep scolding,as he sits with his nose stuck to cricket matches almost all the time!I love cricket too,but some ideas were basically his,I'm tokn bout da match part only...!But once again if you don't like it,it's my fault..Since I wrote it:

CHAPTER-20.

A stunned and embarrassed Meera looked up to stare at Prithvi,who was equally dumb struck by the question!

"Dost!Is he your boyfriend whom you always talked about?!"Asked the impatient kid again!

BOYFRIEND?!!Thought a stunned Prithvi..SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND?!!

Uncontrollable and illogical rage,fury and jealousy burned up Prithvi's insides,as he thought of His fairy in some other guy's arms!

THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE!Prithvi thought furiously.SHE IS MINE!ONLY MINE!NO GUY HAS THE RIGHT TO TOUCH HER,BUT ME!!!He went on thinking furiously..

"I don't have a boyfriend,Jeevan Lal!"Meera burst out,looking at the kid with exasperation,and embarrassment at being put in such an awkward situation in front of Prithvi.

"But you had said-"

"I was just joking with you Jeevan Lal!"Meera said through clenched teeth,irritated beyond words,to be embarrassed like this infront of Prithvi..

Prithvi inhaled a long calming breath,on hearing her.A large boulder seemed to have lifted from his heart when he heard,what she had just said.

She doesn't have a boyfriend!Prithvi thought with relief.

"But then,who-"The kid was about to ask,as he looked at Prithvi with a puzzled frown..

"I'm Prithvi."Prithvi interrupted the kid,stopping him from asking more awkward questions.."Prithvi Khanna."He finished with a smile,extending his right hand towards the kid.

The awed kid,gave him a cute and friendly smile,and placed his small hand in Prithvi's large ones and shook it,staring up at him..

"And I'm Jeevan Lal!"The kid introduced himself continuing to smile.

At that time,both of them were unaware of the shock on Meera's face..

He is Prithvi KHANNA?!!Is he related to Rajeev Khanna uncle?!!Thought a dumbstruck Meera'But her thoughts were interrupted by Jeevan Lal.

"Oh!You are THAT Prithvi?!My Dost Meera was asking me about you..But I told her,I just saw your HUGE black car!You have an awesome car!Its like those which I saw heroes drive in movies!"Exclaimed the talkative Jeevan Lal.

Uff!This kid will bury me in shame right here,if I don't stop him right now!Thought an embarrassed and angry Meera,as she noticed Prithvi staring at her,with a naughty knowing smile.

"Jeevan Lal,this guy here and me are going to have a match now,and you'll be the umpire and judge,okay?"Meera said quickly in order to distract Jeevan Lal,before he blurted out more of her secrets to Prithvi.

"Match?!"asked a confused Jeevan Lal,looking from Meera to Prithvi'"But why?!"

"Because this guy thinks your Dost,doesn't know how to play cricket and your Dost believes in giving proof rather than saying how much she knows about playing cricket!"Meera finished,raising her eyebrows at Prithvi in challenge.."So shall we?!"

Prithvi could not stop the smile that came to his lips as Meera got ready to lock horns with him in cricket battle as she tied the dupatta of her blue kamiz round her waist,and picked up the cricket bat'

"Wait."He called out to her,as she started fixing the stumps..When she turned to him with a questioning look,he continued.

"We need to agree on some rules first'"Prithvi stopped to wait for her response,and when she quietly nodded her agreement,he smiled approvingly and continued..

"We'll have a super over..You know bat 1 over each..And see how much we score,in that single over,while the other 1 of us bowls..And since there's no wicket keeper,we cannot be stumped out or caught behind,but we can be bold out or run out..And I'm marking a border infront of those trees,as our boundary..Deal?"

"Deal!"She replied with a winning smile..And just when she was turning back to the stumps,Prithvi stopped her again..

"And Meera?The winner,gets what he or she wants,deal?!"Prithvi added the final blow softly'

"What?!"Meera asked in shock,her expression telling loud and clear,that she had not expected this.And Prithvi once again hid a smile,realizing he had trapped her for good'

"Scared?!!"He asked in a teasing soft voice'Meera jumped into the trap instantly,as Prithvi gave her the final indirect shove.

"Scared,of you?!"Meera scoffed out.."Never!I accept the deal!And I know I'll win!"She declared triumphantly'

A satisfied Prithvi started bowling as Meera got ready to bat...And their tiny 9 year old umpire looked on'.

On the first ball,Meera missed it all together,and the ball went past her..

"Wow!You are an awesome bowler Prithvi!You have to teach me your way!"Exclaimed out Jeevan Lal'

Such an impartial umpire!Thought Meera with irritation,rolling her eyes..

On the second ball of the over,Meera hit a four.

"Not bad,dost!"Called out Jeevan Lal as he ran to bring back the ball..

And I thought he is my friend!Fumed Meera.This man's bowling is awesome,and I hit a boundary,that's NOT BAD!!!

To add more to her anger,as if reading her thoughts,Prithvi gave her a naughty knowing smile as he got ready to bowl for the third time'

Stupid man!Thought Meera as she hit the ball,but when she was halfway down the wicket on taking her single run,she realized she had miscalculated,and Prithvi was almost at the wicket to push the bail off with the ball..!

"HELP!!!"Meera called out as she suddenly tripped, and was about to fall flat on her face,when Prithvi caught her ,at the last moment..And both of them fell on the ground,with Prithvi below and Meera on top of him..Her lips only inches away from his,and their eyes locked together as they lay breathing hard...

Wow! cannot comment on the game of cricket but Mithvi's love games are sizzzlinggg!! Ooph!! Can't help but feel that Prithvi is going to win.. hehe! I am sure I know what he is going to ask... :))

I don't know about cricket. But watched a match only.

I liked the challenge, the homour, the kid, and the fall.

Now I am eagerly waiting to see what is Prithvi going to do?
