CHAPTER-21.

Prithvi lay breathing heavily on the ground as Meera lay on top of him,their eyes locked,and only the barest movement from either and their lips would touch each other's'Shock was a very small word to describe his feelings at that moment'His body temperature was rising at an astonishing rate,and his hands of its own accord moved to her waist,while at the same instant,Meera suddenly moved and took her lips towards his ear'

"Forgot to take the bails off,did you Mr. Too Good Cricketer?"Meera whispered into his ear,shocking him in the process,and then the amazing girl looked into his eyes again,and winked at him,with a naughty smile on those delicious lips!

"I'm still not out!You could not make me run out..Poor you'"She teased him in a soft whispering voice,pouting her lip childishly,with fake concern for him'

Dumbstruck Prithvi,stared at her..And then slowly his eyes moved to her pouting lips,and instantly his control snapped..He pulled her head down,and was just about to kiss those tempting juicy rosy lips,when Jeevan Lal interrupted.

"Hey,you two!Get up!We have a match to finish!Three more balls left of this over!"The kid exclaimed out.

Quickly they both raised themselves from their lying position,and dusted their clothes..Meera's heart still racing from the kiss that was almost given on her lips,by Prithvi'But she preferred forgetting about this and hence concentrated on the game,and avoided looking into Prithvi's eyes or at Prithvi all together'

The next three balls resulted in 8 more runs as Meera hit two more fours..And the last ball was a bouncer,so did not result in any run..

"12 runs!Now it's your turn to bat Prithvi!"Informed the always talkative Jeevan Lal.

Prithvi got ready to bat,as Meera prepared to bowl,but his mind was far away from the cricket match..He still could not get his mind off that incident where she had deliberately fallen to distract him and prevented her run out'Distract him,she had..And that also very successfully'

Prithvi was brought back to reality as the ball missed hitting his head by a mere inches as Meera started with a bouncer..The act brought Prithvi back to earth,and he got ready to win the match,as he wanted something from her,and for that he had to win..

The next two balls Prithvi hit a six and a four respectively,which was greatly cheered by Jeevan Lal,but resulted in him receiving scathing looks from the fuming beauty'

The next ball he deliberately let go from hitting..And on the fifth ball Prithvi had aimed on hitting a sixer,but as he failed to middle it from the bat,so the distance was not covered,and Meera had only to run a few feet to take the catch..

Prithvi watched as if in slow motion as she cupped her hand ,ready to catch the arriving ball'

"WHAT SEXY CURVES !!!I SURE WOULD LOVE TO MOVE MY HANDS UP AND DOWN THOSE PERFECT MOUTH WATERING CURVES ALL MY LIFE!"Prithvi said out in a loud voice.

Instantly,Meera looked down to fix her dupatta which had moved while she was getting ready to catch the ball..And stared daggers at Prithvi,the ball forgotten,which fell down beside her and ran to the boundary for four'

Prithvi gave her an innocent look when she stared at him ready to eat him alive,and pointed at a crooked tree a few feet away from her..

"I was just talking about that tree..Just see what wonderful curves it has-"Prithvi's explanation was interrupted by Jeevan Lal's shout.

"It's a four!Prithvi you won!You scored 14 runs with 1 ball remaining!"Declared Jeevan Lal,with a big smile'

A fuming Meera now faced Prithvi her stance clearly of someone ready to murder..

"This is not fair!Jeevan Lal!Tell him he is wrong!He distracted me!"Shouted out a vexed Meera.

"But Dost that was a four!And he won!"Declared an adamant and confused Jeevan Lal.

"You tricked me!I'm out of here!"Said a furious Meera to Prithvi and strutted away from the field'

Two dumb struck male stood on the field,watching her departure with confusion..Then the two males,one a 9 year old kid,the other a 27 year old man,looked at each other with a similar expression of bafflement,which said loud and clear,

GIRLS!WHY ARE THEY SO WEIRD?!!WHY COULD NOT GOD MAKE THEM NORMAL?!!

After a stunned silence that lasted about a minute..Prithvi broke the silence..

"Is your Dost always like this,when she loses?!"Prithvi asked to Jeevan Lal.

"Umm..Not always..Sometimes she is quite normal.."Replied Jeevan Lal,scratching his head in confusion.."But today Dost was EXTRA ABNORMAL!"Finished the kid in a puzzled tone.

"And how do you pacify your Dost,when she gets so abnormally angry?"Asked Prithvi staring at the direction Meera had left for'

"Oh!That's very easy!I just kiss her and she is normal and smiling again,and also kisses me back!"Replied a triumphant Jeevan Lal.

So that's the way to pacify her?!Thought a shocked and amused Prithvi..

"JEEVAN LAL!!!"Someone called out from afar,from the opposite direction Meera had went'

"Oh no!Amma is calling me!I need to leave!Please pacify my Dost on my behalf!I told you how to!"With this shocking request,the kid ran out of the field in the direction of the voice that had called him'

"Interesting..I will pacify her on behalf of Jeevan Lal?!Very interesting'"Murmured Prithvi with a naughty smile'

He tricked me!Thought a fuming Meera as she strutted,not knowing or caring in which direction she was going..

I will not-'Her thoughts were broken as she was suddenly pulled back,whirled,and pushed against a thick tree trunk by a pair of now familiar strong arms,which kept her trapped within its owner's embrace against the tree trunk'A very familiar fragrance and male scent teased her sensitive nostrils,as she drew in a staggering breath,and slowly the fragrance engulfed her senses'..
