I need to figure out a platform where I can write and post. Blogs used to be there but I don't know if people still use blogspots

You can always blog there's still people who follow blogs. Or u can go for Wattpad or similar sites.

I mean... how can u get top 10 authors in NY title with THOSE books? 😭

I told you na white people get a free pass🤣

I never read because of the controversy about "It Ends With Us" and the misogyny in general that seems to be her trademark?

Ah basic standards like how a middle Schooler or a teenager boy might write about a woman, that's how she writes.

I've sent a post that complied a few of her paragraph and I'm having second third hand whatever embarassment smiley37

Also lot of people have mentioned that it gave them inspiration to start writing themselves since if she can get published then they can too. Like it's that bad smiley36

And honestly saying ... these days almost saare novels similar hai ... PBD is really really unique! You can change the names and publish it ... or maybe some other story

Wattpad is there but I'm not a fan smiley18

If you plan to post on blogs then aapko 'pracharan' tagda karna hoga! Reach jaldi nahi milta waha pe

Try sending PBD to publications smiley42smiley41 who knows...aaj kal kuch bhi viral ho jaata hai... PBD toh deserving hai ek dum smiley9

Don't ask her to read the entire book, she will forget what inspiration she hassmiley37smiley36

There's also Chetan Bhagat in India by the way.

I agree about novels sounding similiar because they sort of follow a formula and very few have distinctive voice or charm.

I like Chetan Bhagat's books

2 States is my favourite

He writes simple but beautiful

Yes very few have distinctive charm and PBD is one of them 💕

@Nushkiee and @Priya... when we read too much also everything feels similar... aakhir there are only so many basic plots in this world that sell... smiley36

I had one serious question though... in most novels... even when the male lead is a brooding jacka** acting all high and mighty, the female lead is physically aroused, oftentimes in the first meeting itself, to the level of almost wanting to f*ck at first sight.. (pardon my language) I've seen this trend in Indian writers too... I just want to know is that how it is nowadays? Isn't sh*tty behavior a turn off anymore?smiley36

Her name is Akanksha smiley36

And omg yess! It’s such a weird trend...and yeshhh...kinda sends the wrong message too. being disrespectful becoming sexy?!!! smiley36

That's why I look for soft romance books. Or something like PBD, NJAPA, HBAS!

These white authors are writing shit in the name of teenage love. I still like the old school romance novels. smiley36 school ke baad milna...chup chup ke msg karna...etc etc smiley42

Sadly writers don't write such books these days ... you are right. Such faltu trend it is .. but it is what it is smiley39 which indian novel u read btw? jisme aisa tha?

But that said... there are some really good books out there where the chemistry builds naturally...I guess it just depends on the writer and the kind of story they want to tell. ... I’m always more drawn to the ones with actual depth in the characters

Btw you read novels??? smiley42 which ones have you read?

P.S. - yahi sab k wajah se I've stopped reading romance. I'm more into Khaled Hosseini's books these days ... Jhumpa Lahiri, Amish Tripathi too ! And sometimes RK Narayan smiley41

I agree smiley36 I've like more than 50 novels at home ..that too 'after' my mummy gave 47 books to raddiwala

a baby with a sad look on his face and the words make gifs at gifsoup.com below it

But then still I don't find a single similarity between PBD or some other novel smiley14 trust me each line, each scene, each gesture is unique! Pura ka pura concept is unique

Idts I'll ever find something like passionate affair, hiding behind stranger and pale blue dot again (I'm writing this for 45789632th time...but truth is truth can't help it smiley16)

I agree but well written books still have the power to engage and move the audience right?

It doesn't have to be something out of the world just a story with it's heart in the right place.

More accurate way to say this is also that re-readability or recall value it has. Like for example Pride and Prejudice is forever timeless and relevant and enjoyable.

Shitty and misogynistic behaviour is most certainly a turn off as far as I'm concerned.

Lot of novels and movies do tend to romanticise that behaviour though so young girls are influenced?smiley5
