Her holding his hand and requesting him to pardon HER men's lives has no 'suspicious' ring to it whatsoever. It's to do with a matter concerning HER. It's a straightforward request from a wife to a husband (with a touch of tenderness to it). He was briefly charmed by her gesture (words might elongate the moment, but the entire spell must've lasted for 3 - 5 seconds no more) till he realised what she wanted. All in all, it was for a noble cause and he relented. What's there to be suspicious about it?
But, finding her with one of his classified scrolls (for the second time) after he'd asked her not to touch/meddle with his work would test the patience of even the calmest men. Most husbands/fathers would react this way to family, concerning important work matters. And Heera/AMK are still from opposite camps with a complicated relationship. Having said that, not every act of her, is he suspecting - only those that could be. And it's not like he suspects her of malicious intentions against him or plotting etc etc. He DOES know her inside out, which is why even as these fleeting doubts come to his mind, his tells himself off for having them. (Don't we all have those moments when we know we shouldn't be getting angry and still do?)
What he suspects instead, is she's being curious/sneaky and wouldn't heed his words to stay out of his work. That she isn't taking his warnings seriously. THAT has him worked up.
And curious, Heera sometimes is!
Now, that could also explain the binoculars (she WAS being curious, watching him at work. If we sneaked into a secret board room where military issues were being discussed, we'd come under the scanner too today!) and maybe the hair from he previous night (he doesn't know for sure). It all adds up. The romance takes a backseat when lives are concerned.. like it did for her, when she was pleading for the lives of her men...
A masterspy is human too... and a man is entitled to his emotions, right?
Anyway, it's part of the larger picture... so... wait and watch!😛
