Just one doubt...isn't karuna as a rasa supposed to mean sorrow. Compassion is just a bhav. Not Ras. But Shivaji in his Navaratri portrayed Karuna as compassion and it is etched in us that we have pushed sorrow out of the Navrasas and included compassion.
