Sandhya one thing I will tell you from personal experience, always keep an open mind! Unless and until you experience something yourself please don't have a prejudged notion! Or else I have realised I will be left with nothing but prejudice! Don't listen to me or anyone else, read the book and then judge for yourself! I thought it was a pretty good book with facts and excerpts from all possible sources and even the letters from the Christian and Jesuit priests or Spanish and Portuguese priests and other people who came to visit him. They had high praises for him and it really shows his liberal attitude and nature and at the same time his inquisitive mind that wanted to know more, to learn more! He also was clever to the borderline of being cunning and used these priests to get information about the ports that were under the Portuguese officials. He had a right and balanced attitude to rule and run the country! And being an emperor I can't believe he would be without any vices specially when they were so easily available to him! If I appreciate someone then I should have an open mind to realise his shortcomings as well! 😃 Akbarnama only praises and sings for him but it can't be that he had no faults or addictions! He was no saint, he was a superb and extremely intelligent emperor who knew how to win the hearts of his people and was Just! That is why he was one of the greatest rulers of our nation!
