We are Maharashtrians moved out of Maharashtra many years ago (a couple of centuries)... settled in various South Indian states...

I'm Maharashtrian from TN (Tanjore originally)

Mr. Lashy is Maharashtrian from Andhra (Anantapur, to be precise)

There are others in my family from Karnataka too

My maika is not a Peshwa btw - only my husband's side...

It's all a bit confusing - effects of migration!
