@ sandhya very well said ⭐️ akbar might be bitter but not pessimistic . Bitterness due to certain circumstances but temporary. While pessimistic is attitude. (I mean that's what I think).

All the poems/rhymes posted here are so AWESOME . Kudos to everyone who posted it. ⭐️ 👏

@lashy di , you know all of your characters so well. 😃
Btw when durga was attacked, as you said she was somehow aware that her end is near. In that chapter , when she was planning to escape, she thought for a second about farmaan and then said "it would be safe". I guess that is the hint of where farmaan could be.

@ aunty how can you find so apt n perfect rhymes ⭐️

Lashy di,
Where is Deepa di? I'm missing her a lot
Also, she would've come up with fantastic poems from Akbar and Heera's POV😊

You're right... neither would a pessimist be able to form a bond with friends and animals... nor would he see 'perfection where everyone else sees a disability'

My bad for calling him a pessimist at all...

@ Zhanna
the despondency is 8th mortal sin.
Really? 😲

"... The despondency refers to mortal sin only in Orthodox theology. Catholics have among sins there is sadness, the Orthodox Church adds and the despondency, as a completely separate sin ... ". (c)

Are differentiated sadness, as a consequence of the heavy events, but it's the feel that passes. And the despondency - as a chronic condition that can even when is external well-being.

"... The despondency -. The grave sin, which leads to despair. The despondency is born where to faileth belief in God, hope in Him and love to Him and to people because despondency -. Sin of lack of faith, of apostasy ..." (c)

How can be pessimistic and depressed man, who so works to survive and so is responsible for their animals and people?
True 😳
"...Sin of despondency comes from excessive employment over themselves, their experiences, failures, and as a result - the extinction of love for others, indifference towards the suffering of others, inability to rejoice in another's joys, born envy ...
Archimandrite Lazarus (Abashidze, the twentieth century)
Makes total sense... 👏

BTW, I LOVE how you give a Russian twist to the title Shehzaade, by referring to him as Shachzade
We really so! 😊
I am so accustomed from childhood to the Russian spelling of the word - ehzade ((from Persian. hzdeh

(I loved as a child Arabic, Turkish and Persian fairy tale and, when I could find, I bought myself 8 tome of "1001 and One Nights").
And I even didn't attention that there is another letter "a". We have it really spelled like that. 😃

Interesting exchange of thoughts. Definitely Mr.Akbar is not pessimist , you need to have positive outlook to fight every fight of life , to see beauty where every one else fails to see. In my eyes he is nither pessimist nor bitter. If you are bitter because of previous experience, you might not help other , you might not feel their pain . If you are bitter , your outlook will be "let them suffer as I did"
For me he is just more guarded.

What to do Lashy! Don't blame me. Blame the time difference between IST and EST (and GMT?)
All of you start your interesting discussions only after I go to sleep, and when I wake up in the morning, you are in deep slumber! I have to wait till late evening to meet you all!😭 I once told Shyamala that I was thinking of taking up night shift on the computer and sleep during the day!😆
BTW I hope you have saved the payasam for me in the fridge. 😆
Periamma.

I just came ... and you went... not good night... come back 😭
Or I'll finish up all the semiya payasam!

Thank you Lashy,
Thanks for liking the poems.. You gave me the assignment, and I had to finish it before I went to bed!
Yes, the second poem looks more apt if it is said by Durga. And can add as the last line,

"Your mind is a weapon, stronger than my sword!"

Here are a couple of Mahakavi Bharathiyar's songs for our hero and heroine..

Akbar:

"MangiyadOr nilavinile kanavinilidhu kaNden
Vayadu padinaarirukkum ILavayadu mangai
Pongivarum perunilavu ponRa oLi mugamum
Punnagaiyin pudu nilavum potra varum thotram
Thungamani minpolum vadivaththaal vandhu
Thoongaathe ezhunthennai paarenru sonnaaL
Angathanil kaNvizhithen addadavo adadaa
Azhagennum deivanthan adhuvenre aRinden!"

" In my dream, I saw her in the dim moonlight !
A young girl, of age sixteen, I guessed at first sight
Her face had the full moon's brilliance,
Her smile like a crescent , with a radiant countenance.
Like a lightning, she came before me,
Said "Awake! Look at me"
I woke up suddenly and saw her! Oh God!..how pretty!
I knew she was simply the Goddess of beauty!"

( My 'rough' translation of the Tamil poem)

Heera:
(When she is thinking about sending her messages to the Rajput allies)

"Akkini kunjondru kaNden--athai
Angoru kaattinil pondhidai vaithen
Vendu thaNindhathu kaadu-thazhal veeraththil
Kunjendrum mooppenrum undO?"

"I found a small spark of fire
And placed it in the burrow in a forest
The entire forest was burnt down to ashes
An ember is mighty enough, regardless of its size!"

( Found the translation from some blog)

If you would have to describe Khan Sahib... would you say he's currently pessimistic or bitter?
Is it different? I don't know why I saw them as a similar 'descriptive' but Divi differs in thought...

is one trait less endearing than the other? 🤔

Whoever He is... I just love him Chellam!! ❤️😆
