I don't know why, I feel that your writing style in this chapter is very different from your earlier ones. The dialogues are crisp -neither more nor less-and not out of place.

the style is not very different from previous chapters... I try and read 1/2 chapters before writing so I don't deviate...

But, I'll tell you why you liked this chapter more, periyamma... because it finally spoke of your Jalal... I mean, Akbar in detail 😆... the previous ones were introductory, political and action based... so scope of this sort of interaction would be more sporadic...

You have chosen best situations to bring out more about the characteristics of the two leading personalities- one, very rough and masculine( like his horse) and the other, apparently soft and very feminine, in showing her sympathy towards her guard, and care towards her maids.

Though so far nothing is revealed about the background of Akbar to have any royal connections, as seen from your "...At 19, he had begun venturing into the complicated competitive world of buying and selling horses. Inheritance , he had none-be it money house or family..." you make us guess that there is something unique about him that says that he is not an ordinary horse trader..

Hmmm 🤔 Ok as you say, we must wait and see!
