Thank you Harshu, Payal, Bindu, Chellam, Mitu, Namita, Shagun and Manasi for the wishes😳... the trip was ok... quite exhausting.. but the boys had fun... and I guess that's what matters...😊
Loool Payal 😆looks like HBAS not on your priority-reading list... the other day, you said you dropped it to read other updates... and now you're saying it put you to sleep...But, its ok dear...🤗 I understand... not every story is everyone's cup of tea... one must read something that takes their fancy or it becomes an imposition of sorts!

By the way, I hope you meant the 4 dams is for BOTH men and not 4 for each one of them...
''It's 4 dams for both...' he informed, gruffly
>> So you reap what you targeted.. not more, not less!!😆
I didn't understand this point... 😕
'I hope you realise that even Amrit would have cost us less, Sahib!' the heiress stated, using sarcasm to express her disapproval
>> Sarcasm... a symbolism of healthy mind!! Phew.. Heera 🤗
And thank you Lashy for little mercies 😆What are the little mercies, here?
Lashy one koshtin..
Chapter 3
All the men... h... could they all be killed? N... no...please... the women too? Even Maharaj kakasa? Ma Jagdamba... please no...'Even Maharaj kakasa? Ma Jagdamba... please no... was Durga's train of thoughts... her fears...as she realised one after another everyone was done away with, since none of the guards/maids were replying ... at that point, she realised the clang that came from the kitchen implied the Maharaj had also been done away with! But, as the last para states... the only person found alive, was the cook, whose life was spared so he could give the younger sibling a message -But, after this, I've amended the sentence to include head-cook, Maharaj kaka so this confusion doesn't arise again! Thanks for bringing it to my attention...
Chapter 4
Is Maharaj not a man but a title that goes to any headcook or was it a typo? I see there is only one man in that scene talking to Kotwal.. and its Ratan kaka.. is Maharaj his title? If so, please be consistent with one.. two types of references to same person is a bit confusing 😳No... but it clearly states there are two men... and their names too... 😳 and how one is worried about state of kitchens, while other is silent because he has other troubling realities plaguing him...'Ideal?' asked Maharaj kaka, taken aback by the man's description of such a drab place. And if the reception rooms were in so deplorable a condition one could only imagine the state of the kitchens that lay beyond 'Ma Jagdamba... help us' Maharaj kaka muttered another prayerAs the kotwal's assistant lit another lamp atop a dusty side table - a futile act to make an unloved house appear presentable - Ratan kaka watched on, a helpless bystander in all of this drama.
The accountant was not as vocal about his disappointment, but that was mainly because he was preoccupied with another troubling reality.
Thanks Jhanu 🤗 as a true friend ... your reviews and points that you point out... both ways... work out to sharpen me as an author... I am so blessed to be having friends like this! *wipes a tear*
I very liked also the end of this chapter.
Hira gets the opportunity to be alone with herself. Just my opinion, but I think this is a very important thing for recovery - loneliness. And it is so wonderful that Gauri understands it.
Yes... more so for a person who is always surrounded by people and the responsibility they remind her of!
For me, output out of the immense despair Heera in her thoughts:
"...Did he actually suspect her to be the kind of lady, who went around groping strangers for no apparent reason otherwise.?".
Having passed all the stages of grief, despair, anger against fate, and received a powerful jolt from the accident on the bridge, threatening her life, to Hira returning risible character and humor of mischievous young girl.Yes and that is exactly what I was trying to achieve here... it was because it was unexpected and the incident so bizarre that it shocked her out of the spell of grief she was going through... so, her state of mind took on an unexpected change too.. that of humour...
She is a princess not only by birth, but by on innate nobility and subtlety of her soul.
In this situation, Bindiya (by the way, I like she too, but her unceremoniousness always gives her) would be a scandal and she would have screamed that stranger poorly educated, ill-mannered and doesn't help the woman.
Hira's relations: "...somehow finding herself more amused than offended by the tone of his interrogations".Again, keen observation... had it been Bindiya, she would have screamed her voice hoarse... someone like Gauri and Dhani might have given the man a slew of advices! But, Heera didn't question him... just responded with subtle sarcasm - as she waited and saw, what happened next...
You wonderful writer not only very intense and tragic scenes, but also a very subtle sense of humor, whether it relates to the characters as Bindiya or situation.
"... For audience necessary given for the relaxation number with a slight smile, something soulful, nice, calming ... ..." (I can't correctly translate! Ohh 😳😳😳 )
This quote is one of my favorite children's books "My great-grandfather, heroes and I" by James Crews. Thanks so much Zhanna... meant a lot!
Since my childhood I admired and loved horses. Even a simple pat, give bread and salt, has been happiness for me. I'm interested in the horse, which Durga chosen at auction, but all events in 2nd and 3rd chapters, have diverted attention. But the horse shied away from the shots again, got ("hooked") my attention.
Later I wanted to find a picture that would be passed on feeling the heat, dust, sun, horse racing. And I stumbled upon an article about the Marwari breed horses. On such horse sits Rajat Tokas. This is an ancient breed of horse from Rajasthan. I really liked her unusual ears. We have other breeds. Although the Arabian's horse also have a slightly bent ears. But the Marwari horse - is a breed of intellectual.
"... it is believed that Marwari never abandon a wounded horseman on the battlefield, and remain true to guard, fending off the enemies and if the rider gets lost in the desert -. Marwari horse, owing to an innate instinct to find way to home ..."You are right and that is precisely why I chose that breed of horse... Hence, I guess, despite all the influx of Western trends... this breed of horse has not lost its popularity in India today...it's not built as big/strong as the Arabian ones... but it's nimble and comes with many tales of loyalty during wars and times of trouble...Lasha! We read the story, but I would be very interesting if, at the end of the thesis, was not only a glossary, but and bibliography. 😊 To write such as well, you have to know so much! My admiration and respect !!! 👏👏👏That is very sweet and noble of you to say that... I will try and include whatever info, as and when I can dear...
