In fact, I imagined a similar situation in our Jodha Akbar, where Akbar vehemently opposes Salim-Anarkali relationship. I thought that Akbar could marry her and put a full stop to his son's affair.

May be he was apprehensive about another lecture from JB on peedith istrees and naari shakti.🤣 Or perhaps he was scared to marry any other after JB seeing what and all he had to endure.😆

Jokes apart, there is a beautiful explanation by MV on the duties of a king and why NV cannot do what his heart says just after NV returns from Vathapi. How his rajadharma is more important than the love of his life. Kingship is never easy and that is why the stubborn father, and not the pained son, is called Mughal-e-Azam.

If you cannot read the script then Kalgi's audio suggestion is a better option. Translation options are always there. But i've always felt that something is lost in translations. The actual flavor the actual essence the effect - something.🤔

Yes... we are a multi linguistic set of people - effects of migrating to the south... this was after the whole Peshwa fiasco in Maharashtra, where we descend from...

An entire clan of Maharashtrians migrated to Andhra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu after that.

So, while we speak Marathi at home and know Hindi because it's taught, there are members in my family who know Telugu, Kannada, Tamil too (and maybe even Malayalam because of watching the movies)

In fact, my mother is so adept at Tamil, she writes poetry... and reads out Tamil literature to blind students during her free time... she would love reading your debates here...

For now though, I am just a jack of 4 languages, master at none.. 😆

ok so now I got it which type of Marathi u mite b speaking coz we have a few family frnds whose ancestors migrated to Bangalore during chatrapati shivaji's times and so dey still speak Marathi but its more a mixture of kannada... 😆
