How many times was Jalal caught and how many times did jodha save him. This whole thing is so blasphemous. Too too much. 😡

Like Abul Mali British may also bear Jalal black and blue. And he will cry for his begumsa to come and save him.

I have developed such a repulsion towards Jodha of the show for gaining all the glory that was Akbar's due. Sick of Jodha, PS and the sick CVs.

Those convuluted idiots couldn't give Akbar some semblance of respect if not his due even in the last leg.😡😡

sandhya ditto and in bold😡

Mandy, Sandhya, Sri and all others who are upset with the last track - at the outset let me again say 'This is not about the Emperor Akbar the Great, 3rd Mughal Emperor of Hindustan, son of Emperor Humayun and grandson of Emperor Babur.'

I will now give you reason why I say so - 1) Akbar was never bearded, he was always clean shaven - this one has a beard. 2) Akbar was never captured and every war that he personally fought, he won. 3) This is the 1584 and during this time it was the Portugese who came to Akbar's court and not the English as shown here.

Hence proven that this is not about the Emperor Akbar the Great.

As for Ekta Kapoor - well she has tried her damnedest to badnaamofy Akbar the Great - who was the favorite child of Madame Kayanaat - I will let Ms. Kayanaat deal with EK for this blasphemy.

adi, this is not history its something that i cannot even explain in words! adi the majority rules..such NRs are being portrayed to keep some people happy and its zee tv you know..they will never glorify Akbar for some obvious reasons which i will not explain here..do you think they cared about trps for the last week no! they just wanted to show Akbar as a namard who only survived because of jodha😡

adi, you are right even i read in indu's trilogy that east india company came during jahangir's era..even indu did not take that much liberty showing NRs but ekta crossed all limits!

Hi friends, Nice thread Mandyji. The title is apt. All I can say is distorting history n butchering the characters of our great ancestors is the current trend in Indian Television. Actually in JA atleast they maintained some standard up to some 240 r so episodes. But the others like MP n CAS they r like that from the start. I really wish one day any PH makes a show of an Emperor but without Empress consorts.... I lost words to describe my love for these Empresses of India😆 (only reel not real).

We all know the Mughal history. AKBAR n his personality has been printed in our hearts n minds like pattar ki lakeer which these people cannot erase with their NRs. What really pins me here is they r really insulting the Naari Shakti here. In the name of hailing they r insulting the women power. Its really disheartening to c the plight of our TV. They r demeaning n ridiculing the once great kings n queens. Its really sick of them.

dushman zamaana chahe kuch bhi kar le wo jo hasti hai uski vishaal usse koi na mita saka hai aur na mita sakega..the truth shall prevail and no ekta can destroy the glory of such a great personality..i hope she never tries to make a historical again ever in her life😡

What HAS Akbar done except feed Jodha, comb her hair, put her to sleep as she is tired after a hard day's work , drive flies from her face, call her beautiful, ask sorry from all and sundry, preside over the dek in jashns and giving Jodha titles, thank Jodha for her greatness, and get into tight spots that only Jodha can save him and his empire from...

And this is supposed to be Akbar, the Great who ruled such a vast kingdom, who was a strategist par excellence, whose military conquests fill in history books, who was a patron of art and literature, who was a great visionary who saw beyond the narrow walls of religion gender and clan, who introduced so many social reforms under whom the country prospered.

Sorry Devki. I hated the show for the kind of buddhuram it made out of Akbar and continued to watch it as Rajat had some sparkle to offer every now and then. I loved Jodha and Akbar,( in fact Jodha more) in the first 80 episodes but ever since the Amer track i have watched it only for RT.

sandhya👏👏👏..there was no akbar in this show only ekta's BMC..butchered male character!

Sorry Mandy for tresspassing this thread. Just this once.

Sandhya, sarcasm is a way of ridiculing something absurd.
There is nothing remotely absurd in the contributions of Maansingh and the entire Ameri family to Akbar and the Mughal Sultanate. Maan singh, Bhagwantdas and Jodha's other brothers have fought many successful wars for Akbar putting their lives on the line for him. Raja Bharmal was put in charge of the Agra fort, if I am not mistaken at least 2 times when Akbar was out on wars. That this family was part of Akbar's innermost circle is not a figment of my imagination but a documented fact. To make sarcastic comments about their contributions not only demeans what they have done but it is downright disrespectful.

Why do you feel Akbar has turned into a buddhuram? Does taking other people's advice, considering their recommendations and then coming to a decision make someone dumb? In the first 80 episodes he was an emperor barely out of his teens with a pretty much black and white outlook. Making hotshot cowboy decisons is very easy when one has a narrow viewpoint. Of course it does seem extremely debonair and sexy but things do change when one evolves into a person with broader understnding. Running an empire as vast and diverse as the mughal sultanate was surely not an easy task. No matter how gifted and smart the ruler is he needs a good bunch of counselors. If Jodha was one of them what is the problem. A spouse is one of the very few people one can depend on not to stab you in the back( ruks is the exception).
I honestly cannot remember where Jodha has taken a major decision for Jalal. Yes, she has advised him, brought certain things to light but is that unusual for a wife to do that? They could tone her preachy tone down a little bit for sure.
That is one thing I liked about Jodha, inspite being one in thousands she managed to form that intimate one on one relationship with her husband. For him she was one among many but for her he was the one and only. She could have easily been lost in the remote recesses of the harem but did not and this credit solely belongs to her whether reel or real.
They have shown Akbar's achievements which may have had the influence of Jodha(I strongly believe that she did have a major influence on the ones that were shown from my reading). Do I wish they had shown a lot of other reforms and wars? Absolutely! But I try to remember that this is called Jodha-Akbar and that is the reason I watch it.

I do agree that the romance they are showing in the recent episodes is beyond ridiculous. It definitely seems that Akbar the great has no other work but prance in and out of jodha's bedroom.
I still have hopes for the English track.

For me the biggest let down in this show was:
Khaiber track: Meh traipsing the forest with half naked ape man was NR of the highest order and totally not needed

Rukaiyya:the importance given to her in this serial from start to finish is also one of the biggest NRs IMO especially vis a vis Salima. She should have been caught afeeming Salim when he was 9 when Salima saw her do something and should have been relegated to some remote corner never to be seen again. That I still have to bear her smirks is a big big let down for me.

Salim-Anar: the less said the better.

There is a lot more I wanted to write but I am using my cell and do not have access to a computer here in beautiful Lonavala. And of course I don't want you falling asleep reading this either if you haven't already!

devki, the points you have made might be correct but you tell me is this the way cvz should show a larger than life persona trampled under foot of female dominated daily soaps??? do you think akbar was that dumb and weak that jodha had do go to the battlefield every time to fight wars for him??? was he hung by abul mali so that jodha can save him???? do you think britishers captured him or killed him and jodha saved him??? does any of this makes sense??? and that is what we are discussing about!

..and devki as you said this show is about both jodha and akbar then why the whole focus on what jodha did what jodha liked and what jodha had to face! now where is akbar in this last track??? where are his achievements? where are his hunars? where are they? i have yet to see them in a show which is deddicated to both and what i have seen is only jodha's about whome i have yet to read in books! all i have read so far is one line that she was jahangir's mother..and that is all! yes she might have made her space in the harem and i do not deny that but don't you think this daily soap has not done injustice to akbar's characterization? tell me yes or no!

Except for the mirchi war which other war did Jodha and the other women of the harem fight in? Akbar should NOT have been trussed up like a chicken by abul mali. I do not disagee with that. However why cannot the ladies fight for their own honor? If they had shown Jodha as his knight in shining armor rescuing Akbar then that would have been worthy of a million sarcastic remarks. But they did not, thank god for small mercies.
It is a little too early to say whether the Britishers have captured him. They are trying to but I still have hopes.
