Ektanama! Akbar bana abla purush.. including prem's view- DT Nt Pg 25 - Page 10

Mandy like Devki, I too am trespassing on your thread. I am a huge fan of Emperor Akbar and have been horrified with the way Ekta has portrayed Akbar. However I feel you maybe be presenting a very one sided view.

Thank goodness ekta made us aware of real history warna hum sab buddhu hi rehte but dearies i thought you all knew jodha was his oxygen suply now without that no one can survive

It is a little too early to say whether the Britishers have captured him. They are trying to but I still have hopes.

devi, the ladies fought for their honor..good and so did our sikh ladies in history fought and killed their enemies for honor but do you think it is an apt NR? where is it documented that akbar's ladies had to go through this and he was hung like a slaughtered chicken! such incidents happened in case of salim where noor was more dominant as salim let her be! but akbar was an alpha male a man who only does what he wishes and what he thinks is right!

This show was never about Akbar. not even in early 80/100 episodes. The reason we praise those times is that Rajat had portrayed it exceptionally Akbar was shown ruthless and he did that part amazingly well.

Ekta deserves to be sued ( I am serious) for what she has done to Akbar . He is an Indian hero that our nation is proud of and his legacy should be treated with respect. This show has deeply insulted his legacy : among other things, the Mirchi war, the whipping of Akbar in the common market, and now this new promo🤢.

But since you asked to to vent on Ektanama I want to present to you with a counter view:

I think for everytime that they have maligned Akbar they have maligned and shamed MUZ/ jodha even more. The khyber track, the attempted molestation at the hands of Sharifudin, the dumb Jodha who can never decipher any of Ruks plotting, the goody two shoes, clueless mother who in an attempt to be noble agreed to share her own twins with an ever plotting and scheming Rukaiya., and then after knowing Ruks underhanded nature she virtulally handed Salim to Ruks on a platter and NOW she appears to be all set to dance in front of the British like a mere courtesan???...where is the glorification of Jodha? Its Dummification and degradation of Jodha !!

I feel the urge to speak up in this open forum as some of the demeaning remarks made towards " real historical characters and their families is shameful and hitting below the belt.

It is really unfortunate that when this show is winding down and we are all enjoying the wonderful threads put up by you all in tribute to your favorite actors/ actresses that this thread and Sandhya's most recent thread is being used as a platform to to mock MUZ and her Ameri family. It threatens to split this forum up again like it did after the birth of the twins. Its shocking that the same people who profess to admire Akbar so much can taunt MUZ for being the "opium addict Salim's mother". By that token since all three of Akbar's sons were addicts we can start pointing fingers at Akbar too...when does it stop then?

Akbar's legacy will remain intact as he has countless books written on him and he is entrenched in our nations history and folklore. But what about the lady about which much less is known? What about her legacy?

...the hatred and scorn expressed against MUZ only goes to prove that Ektanama has been more damaging to the legacy of MUZ than it can ever be to the legacy of one of the greatest monarchs the world has ever known.

coolpree our frustration is for butchering akbar to limits and why we mention muz because ekta has used muz as her female character and to glorify her female characters for trps she has made keema out of akbar's larger than life persona..! how i wish that this was not the case then we all would have been like a happy family accepting both the characters with open arms! and i have not been watching the current epis but saw pics of jodha as basanti and got shock of my life and this is a grave insult to both akabr and his dignified wives..and as donjas said that its the insensitive writers who are not thinking how badly they are hurting the sentiments of viewers but they do not care as there is no one to stop them from butchering akbar..no karni sena will stand against it!...and what legacy my dear..do you think by trampling akabr they can glorify muz? muz is known as akabr's wife and not the other way round and if they try to do that they will be mocked at... honestly history should not be touched if they are going to humiliate real character like this!

Can someone please tell me which is the second war that Akbar was captured in? Or are we just concluding this from the couple of photos that were put up?

devi there was no such war where akbar was captured in history! i do not think they should have shown it..then khyber track and now such pathetic ending..what are they trying to prove is what i do not understand..probably political..that is all i can think of!..they will never degrade MP or ashoka then why just akbar is what bothers me..anyway the damage is done now we can only vent our frustration and move on and hope that there is no show made on jodha akabr in future!

But it was never about Jodha Akbar It was always about Jodha Jodha.

Yed Jodha might/ may have influenced him deeply in his decisions and thats not wrong but what we have been seeing throughout is HE just listens and never comes to his own conclusion. What she said...she said..thats final.

Even if Things have to go by her advice don't you think CV's should atleast have ahown some input from hia side as well...on what could be the pros and cons of a parti ular advice he is getting from hus begum or any of the navratn?

Is this not cruel to show him a worthless emperor? Practically all he has done in 500 + episodes is...bathing in harem with various ladies of the show, giving them titles, bombarfing his dear wife with his fanous tagline 'Humein apka ye hunar bhi behad pasand aya Jodha Begum', and listening to the endless chanting of 'Hum Rajvanshi hai' , and anf and running all arpund in harem after the harem ladies.

Apart from Abdul and Atifa track where has he taken things in his hands in real sense?

For once lers just forget who plays who in this show!

Wasn-t Akbar defamed and butchered this bad?

Talking about Muz her butchering has started just lately..and it often get overed by showing her gteatness.

Talking about wars...yed there's no harm when these ladies fight for their honour but Is Akbar that incapable thst everytime he goes on a war he is captured? (And mind you thia show has shown just two major wars , this would be second).

And did Muz actually fought any war at that time?

The only woman warriors I've been reading about is JKR and RS and Padmini maybe more but only after their time.

There has never been a single word for muz going on a war let alone leading a small bunch of troops!

Akbar had his men doing things for him..man singh..and rahim and his others nav ratans...but the mind behind was always of Akbar!

Akbar was this ppwerful that he would just take a day or so for reaching tje south of India for a war. He was that fast.

Please..The Character Butchering of Akbar has been done alot more than any character in this show!

And it's really veru hard to convince that what they have been showing is in limits and and not that bad at all and his hampering has not been done or less done than others.

No He has been butchered very badly and The most!

Really? Just a day or two to reach south India? The problem is that many of us have this ridiculously larger than life preconceived notions about Akbar that anything less is "butchering".
