Rays of sunlight hit on Jo's eyes waking her up... her head seemed like it would burst, she feels nauseated ... she tries to get up, and realizes she is naked, looks around and sees that she is alone, Jalal was nowhere in sight ... draws up the sheet to cover and feels her body ache, she sees a note at the bedside table "THANKS FOR LAST NIGHT, ENJOYED MYSELF ...J" ..she begins to hate herself, she lays back recalling the night before, she can vaguely remember being intimate with Jalal... she feels her body tingle at the thought of his touch, the pain and pleasure she felt, it dawns on her that Jalal had exerted his full rights on her as her husband ...she just could not understand how she allowed it to happen...the whole thing was a power trip, Jo begins to sob, he just used me... she thinks about the events that had taken place since she met Jalal and feels powerless... he could consume her whenever he wanted... She continues sobbing ..bitterly

There was a knock on the door "can I come in?" a female voice ...Jo quickly reaches for the tissue to wipe her tears and pulls the sheet to cover her nakedness ... the door opens and Jo sees a middle aged woman walk in with a cup of tea saying "no need to hide, I heard you sobbing" ... she looks up at her with a sad expression on her face and her big expressive eyes were watery... the sight of her in pain and in tears pulls at her heart ... she walks over and sits on the bed, reaches over and rubs her head and grasps Jo's hand softly giving it light squeeze..."I am glad I am finally able to meet the girl that swept my son off his feet...I've honestly never seen him so excited and happy...he really deserves happiness in his life.." then she introduces herself "my name is Maham .. I am Jalal's nurse maid... I have retired from my service, but Jalal called me this morning and asked me to personally take care of you today as he had to leave suddenly on a work related emergency"
